My cow shirt is getting faded, and Bulletproof only seems to carry the 'folkin excellent' shirt... not even the concentric-circle efo shirts the band has been selling at live shows. t > I received mine in Saturday's mail and am enjoying listening to it as > I type! Sounds like a great way to start the new year... - -- Jodi ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Oct 2004 16:20:28 -0400 From: rhiannon richard Subject: this is me Hey, I *love* this is me. I think it is a great addition to efo's previous cds. It's a continuation of the more polished sound of quick, but definitely holds on to the efo sound. a few of the new songs are a bit darker, to me at least, like "Stay". "Adios Lorena" is a favorite amongst my friends and me. We named steven's new turtle Lorena. I love "and the rain crashed down," and think it's an excellent song to start the cd. I'm just so glad that this cd is finally in our hands, it's been long coming. I first heard "Independence indiana" at FRFF 2003. I'm not sure if that was my first taste of the new album or not, but it's been a long time either way. "The Bird" was the only song I had not heard until I got the cd (i know they played it at frff 04, but i wasn't there)... and it is as clever as any Mike song, and as funny too. Oh, and somebody asked about this is me merch... julie mentioned that they were going to have some stuff available at the birchmere... including tshirts. i assume that the tshirts will be available at other shows too, though i'm not completely positive. it sounds like they will be a little more subdued than a lot of band shirts... as in, not huge lettering and designs. now, i just hope they have some small sizes :) Can't wait to see some edheads at the handlebar on thursday. all you birchmerers have fun at the release show! - -rhiannon ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Oct 2004 16:35:19 -0400 From: "Lena Freund" Subject: re: Robbie Schaefer Jodi, Jammin' Java's phone number is 703-255-1566 (funny how I have this memorized :) ). Nothing in December is on their website yet; but Im sure if you call them, they'll give you the date in which tickets go on sale. Looking forward to listening to it during dinner! ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V7 #156 *****************************
