Holy crap! 12/3/04 McCabe's 8 PM & 10 PM I bow down in EFO's general direction and praise them with great praise! I know that two-show nights are a royal pain, but they love us so much they're returning to the best SoCal venue ever. w00t W00T! :D Is it wrong to get psyched three months in advance? - --nicole ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Sep 2004 14:18:55 -0700 From: Matte Edens Subject: Re: Californians, prepare to rejoice once the shock wears off: EFO @McCabe's!! After a disappointingly short show at Wolf Trap, and reports of a 15 song show from Club Cafe in Pittsburgh, I have no sympathy for EFO playing a two show night. What's the deal with them these days?? I remember a day when their shows would start at 8 and last until 11 or later. Now they are squeezing two short shows into the same time frame?? I still love 'em, but I am worried about the recent trend towards shorter shows............... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Sep 2004 18:25:29 -0700 From: "Ron Rosen" Subject: Re: Californians, prepare to rejoice once the shock wears off: EFO @McCabe's!! > > 12/3/04 McCabe's 8 PM & 10 PM > > > > I bow down in EFO's general direction and praise them with great praise! > > I know that two-show nights are a royal pain, but they love us so much > > they're returning to the best SoCal venue ever. w00t W00T! :D Yeah, they played Pasadena's Neighborhood Church last time and that seemed to work well. The Knitting Factory sucked. McCabes is the better venue, but it is small! They should be glad, however. Very few acts require two shows at McCabes. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Sep 2004 18:31:59 -0700 From: "Ron Rosen" Subject: McCabe's!! Other good upcoming shows at McCabes. Roy Zimmerman writes great satirical songs. Used to be the key member of the Foremen. Guitar player Lawrence Juber, late of Wings, is mezmerizing. I saw him at a 49-seat venue in Pasadena the other night and he's just spellbinding. Not to mention Richard Shindell and the Strawbs ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V7 #133 *****************************
