One deterrant that has helped me: The fact that if you sing at a rock concert, you have no voice for days afterwards. However, if the show is great and everyone is singing along, I can't help myself. One of my friends did something similar: Mosh Pit Etiquette. I'm not joking. 1. Remember, we're all friends here afterwards. Don't take any push or shove personally. 2. Don't wear spikes or large boots or try to intentionally hurt someone. We want people to be relatively unharmed. 3. If you see someone fall down, pick him up. If you fall, put out arms out and someone will pick you up. 4. Thou shalt not crowd surf or stage dive if thou art more than 300 pounds.. 5. Female crowd-surfers: Body suits are a must. 6. Stage divers: Fall backwards when you dive into the crowd. As always, common sense rules at a concert. Because what is acceptable at one show is not acceptable at another. I wouldn't twiddle my thumbs at a Bosstones show, but then again, I'm not going to jump and down like a nut at a Robbie Schaefer show either. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matthew Velazquez" To: Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2004 7:52 AM Subject: The Concert Fool > Here's something fun in today's Post about that guy we all hate. They did a set a few years ago at the Virginia Wine Festival, at which there was a very drunk guy (wine festival, duh) who was randomly inverting women in front of the stage. Like picking people up unannounced, rotating them 360 degrees about their navels, and putting them back down. Eventually somebody's boyfriend decided it was time for him to stop. That was fun. - -T >>> William Powell 07/20/04 01:42PM >Question? Well, not really that major, but I remember a lot of pushing and one fellow climbing on the shoulders of another fellow.
