Those of you having trouble, check to see what version of the Flash player you are using (right-click in Win, option-click I think in Mac). It could be that version 7 of the Flash player is having the trouble. So it probably isn't a browser/platform issue. Those of you who have upgraded probably got the new Flash plugin as well. matte - ----Original Message Follows---- From: Steven Black To: "edheads@efohio.com" CC: support@square1digital.com Subject: Re: EFO website and Mac OS X Date: Wed, 16 Jun 2004 21:22:19 -0700 (PDT) I've been using IE 6.something or other with XP and every time I access the site, insults me and then promptly pees on my foot. Yea, the website is pretty out of date with regards to the Flash plugin. The link at the bottom of the page says "IF YOU DO NOT SEE THE SITE PROPERLY, SIMPLY CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE LATEST FLASH 6 PLUGIN." If you click on that link, you will see that Flash 6 isn't even available any longer. And, to make matters worse, the Flash code on the site won't even work with the version of the plugin that you get when you follow the link! Let's hope our favorite band isn't paying Square 1 Digital too much for such poor performance. BTW, I wrote to Square 1 Digital over a month ago about the Safari problem, they didn't even have the courtesy to respond. Wonder if they'll bother to care now that there appears to be a problem even for Windows users. Anyway, since this the EFO list, I'll add that I would highly recommend everyone downloading the Kent Stage show that was recently put on archive.org. It is very good! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Jun 2004 16:15:38 -0400 From: David Turley Subject: website fixed Within the past hour the EFO Flash website has been updated to fix the browser-crash issues. (It still does not display in safari.) I've tried it successfully with IE, Mozilla, and Netscape. You can tell a new page as been uploaded because the main Flash page now says "DOWNLOAD THE LATEST FLASH PLUGIN" instead of "DOWNLOAD THE LATEST FLASH 6 PLUGIN" which it said just a short time ago. The really sad part it that AFTER they fixed it, someone from Square 1 Digital wrote me to ask me for details. Gotta love support folks who fix something and THEN ask for info like they don't know what could be wrong. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Jun 2004 13:30:15 -0700 From: "Matte Edens" Subject: RE: website fixed / S.F. show Ahhh. The masses shall rise up and conquer adversity. POWER TO THE PEOPLE. Cool. Now I can see everything. BTW - This weekend I'm planning on posting the San Francisco - Great American Music Hall show from earlier this year. I haven't edited/tracked the Santa Cruz show yet, but it's on my to do list. I don't have artwork for the GAMH show and that was what was keeping me from posting it but I figure I'll post it anyways. Does anyone have an EPS or AI of the EFO logo? matte - ----Original Message Follows---- From: David Turley To: edheads@efohio.com Subject: website fixed Date: Thu, 17 Jun 2004 16:15:38 -0400 Within the past hour the EFO Flash website has been updated to fix the browser-crash issues.
