At 3:53 p.m. today, FolkAlley.com (I listen to it through itunes radio) played "Not enough gold in the world", and then the host was kind enough to mention all the band members. He tends to do that with most of the music anyway. It was my first time EVER hearing EFO through other venues besides my CD player. I'm glad that the band is getting this exposure. It should import a whole bunch of new fans with time, and the more, the merrier. -Walleye __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Friends. Fun. Try the all-new Yahoo! WKSU (Kent State University, Kent, OH) plays folk music on weekend evenings and EFO is sometimes featured! They're involved with folkalley.com somehow (maybe they ARE folkalley.com, I forget). Curious, was it a live performance from when they appeared at the KSU Folk Festival a few years ago? - -----Original Message----- From: owner-edheads@efohio.com [mailto:owner-edheads@efohio.com] On Behalf Of johnathan vienneau Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2004 6:45 PM To: edheads@efohio.com Subject: Not enough gold in the world... This set list would be for that of the EFO Lime Kiln show on 5/22/04. For starters due to a potential threat of thunderstorms, a decision was made by noon that day to have the show in the Lime Kiln tent (or as Julie would call it, the "Big Top") rather than the bowl It was quite a um...a packed in crowd. Needless to say, it did not rain (however, the night before was a different story where it rained torrentially): The set list and any noted comments as follows: SET 1: - - Quick - - Stupid American - - No.6 Driver - - Independence Indiana (As he did at his solo show, Robbie breaks out Mike's gold top '75 Les Paul ELECTRIC GUITAR...Yes ELECTRIC GUITAR...needless to say Mike reminisces about the Dylan show where Bob breaks out with an electric and Pete Seeger is poised with an ax to cut the cables and rid the folk scene ot this audacious behavior. Well Robbie had technical difficultiies and switched back to his acoustic. Mike mentioned that there was a smiling Pete Seeger somewhere). - - Great Day - - Tommy the Canexican - - Stay (new song - Robbie on Strat - technical difficulty resolved - an unhappy Pete Seeger somewhere ;) ). - - One - - Don't Love Me and Leave Me Alone SET 2: - - The Simile Song - - The Three Fine Daughters of Farmer Brown - - Julie's Dad's Birthday Song (working title for the evening - freshly written - Julie playing Mike's Martin guitar!!!-totally sweet- needless to say a very touched and happy Joe) - - Backbeat (Robbie solo) - - Traffic Jam - - The Bird (new Mike song about....well....road rage) - - 1000 Sarahs - - Baltimore - - Eddie solo - - Candido in America - - Eddie's Concubine Encore: - - Come Together - - Old Dominion ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V7 #73 ****************************
