My first EfO show was at the Birchmere during their three night run this past November. I was at the Saturday, 8 November show. Does anyone have a recording of that show? I would love to get a copy of it, and would be willing to do a trade (first born, etc.) or do a B&P for it, whichever is more convenient. Thanks for your time! On our way home from Sebastopol last night, Pete and I had the great pleasure of hearing the recording of EFO playing for 170(???) Sebastopol schoolchildren at their music oriented assembly yesterday morning. What a delightful performance! One of the best I've heard. Ever! The gang were fantastic with the kids, and the kids were probably the most enthusiastic audience I've ever heard at an EFO show (and that is saying a lot!) They performed for about an hour, interspersing their music with Q&A from the audience... - How did they meet? - How did they start a band? - How fast can they really play together??? - Robbie tells all!!! how he lost his hair. - Julie looses her cool and tells Mike to "shut up" in front of a bunch of impressionable kids ;-) Lots of covers, and, of course their own stuff. I'll post a setlist when I have a chance to review the CD more closely. But their rendition of Drop in the Line (shake your body in time) to close the show was oh so very cool! --maybe they'll surprise us tonight with that number again :-) - -- Looking forward to more fun in Santa Cruz tonight!!! - ---Jeff--- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 Jan 2004 16:31:10 -0500 From: "R. Thanks for your time!<< Yeah... so would I... but I do not think anyone may have taped it because The Birchmere does not allow taping... But I guess you never know if someone snuck a small rig in.. or if the sound man made a tape on the sly and it would be circulating here.. This inquiring mind wants to know too ;) Peter P.S. Did anyone tape the Fredericksburg VA. "Maury Stadium" show from last summer.. that one was a REAL HOOT... I would have brought a recorder.. but I was running SO LATE.. I was lucky to get an area of the field to catch the show. ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V7 #22 ****************************
