I'll be bringing taping equipment to each for soundboard patching and was just wondering how early to show up. I figure I'll have to show up even earlier than the normal concert attendee but just wondering how early would be TOO early. Is 3pm too early? I'm SOOOOO excited to finally see my first EFO show. I've been listening to the Cleveland show (1/9/2004) lately. Great show. Plus, who from the list is going to be there? Jeff, when are you showing up? How can I find you to learn from your vast experience of taping these shows? matte _________________________________________________________________ Check out the new MSN 9 Dial-up fast & reliable Internet access with prime features! http://join.msn.com/?pgmarket=en-us&page=dialup/home&ST=1 ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Jan 2004 14:39:18 -0800 From: matt vanderzalm Subject: Re: Show tonight and taping assuming there are still tickets at the door, i should be there tonight with my wife and a friend. i'm really looking forward to hearing some of the newer songs. doors are at 7, but you might be able to get them to let you in early. i'm pretty sure there's an opening band, so even if you're not crazy early, you should have enough time to get your gear back by the board and find jeff or bob. both of them are awfully friendly, so you should be in good hands. jeff's taped there at least once, so i'm sure he can hook you up with more definitive answers. as someone who did a little analog taping back in the day, i just have to say one more time that bob is the greatest when it comes to taper-friendly soundmen. in the past, he's gone out of his way to help when the soundboard out was fritzy and once even let me patch in after a show had already started. all that and he mixes a damn fine show. in short, bob rules! enjoy the show. if i get the chance, i'll drift back by the board to say hello. matt on 1/28/04 1:51 PM, Matte Edens at matte_edens@hotmail.com wrote: > I'm going to the SF show tonight and SC in a couple of days. Looking forward to hearing the new songs (finally). Keep an eye out for the lonely blonde girl, standing Stage Robbie. I think I'm gonna try and get there early tonight as well, to get a seat up front. We'll see if Bart cooperates with me. :) see you there, - -sarah - --- Matte Edens wrote: > I'm going to the SF show tonight and SC in a couple > of days. Nice to see you on this list as well as on SW's... Just recently joined, myself.... And I agree, when the Eddies were here in Dallas, Bob was a really pleasant, helpful guy... Enjoy the show, and say hello from me and the Dallas Uncle Calvin's gang.... You will have about 30 minutes or so to set up before the show starts, and in my experience Bob is always there when they let people in. By that time too, Bob is pretty well set up and is available to get us plugged in and level checked. See you there! I will be among the first in line with my brother. Look for us... I will be toting a black bag full of recording equipment. - ---Jeff--- Matte Edens wrote: > I'm going to the SF show tonight and SC in a couple of days.
