I'd recommended the site that holds the Milestone's show to him as a place that might be able to hold some of Josh's shows. Yesterday, I heard - '"However - I'm a little lost, because I've never heard of "Eddie From Ohio" before . . ." Then, today . . . he wrote - "I just HAD to tell you that I downloaded a bunch of songs of EFO from a recent show on that internet archive site. I hear the opening strums of the first song, and I was digging it. Then the voice....I had no idea the lead singer was a female, and it was sweeeeeet! I love their sound, and I'm now seeking out more of their stuff. I love how they're folky, but make you wanna groove - yet they'll do an accapella song with great, great harmonies. They sound great..." The EFO army grows! Have a terrific holiday, all . . . Jamie P.S. Josh is worth an ear, too. All Things Considered did a warm, sweet, and wonderful review of his new album, Hello Starling, on Wednesday: http://www.npr.org/features/feature.php?wfId=1541696 ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Dec 2003 10:50:21 -0800 (PST) From: Meg Massie Subject: Staunton show Last night's show was magnificent! Mike brought out the prop skull from Hamlet for the second set and passed it around the audience. It became a running joke throughout the evening, and at one point he asked the audience who had the skull, and no one spoke up, which raised concern, until one of the ushers yelled down from the balcony in a menacing tone, "It's taken care of." I hope they didn't get in trouble! I heard a few more new songs for the first time, didn't keep a running setlist but it was mostly a combination of the very new and the very old. Since last summer, I believe I've heard about 8 of the new songs. I have to say that they're all really good, but I think the new CD is going to have a really different sound than what we're used to. That's not a bad thing at all, though. Does anyone else feel this way? And a recommendation for all you NoVa Edheads...this Sunday Girlyman (from FRFF) is going to be in Arlington. I just saw them last weekend, it was great, even if you've never heard them before, I think the show is like 8 bucks...you won't be sorry:) Meg New Yahoo!
