Nicole "TWN", Shelly, Jennifer Horak and I coordinated an Edhead game show during the cruise. It was an optional event and 8 Edheads signed up to participate--with several dozen audience members cheering them on. Our categories were: Edhead Pictionary The Bridge EFO trivia Edhead Pictionary was a bust. The Edheads were split into pairs (Teams Julie, Mike, Eddie or Robbie) and drew a song title from a hat. Apparently, we didn't consider how difficult it would be for someone to draw Monotony or The New James Bond. They gave it the old Edhead try and we moved on. And there was no shame in being eliminated in the first round (Gary? Do you have something to share with the list?) The Bridge was a lyric game. Contestants had to identify an EFO song by the bridge of the song--not so much the chorus, not so much the verse. This was also more difficult than we expected, partly because we required that contestants give the exact title of the song. This proved a problem for Walleye when he stood up after "some may recall the singing of the sirens/lured the sailors to wreck and drown" and confidently gave the song title as "Three Fine Farmers of Daughter Brown". EFO trivia was multiple choice and we had questions from the songs, about the band members, and band history. Shelly or Nicole still have the 3x5 cards from the quiz, but I'm sure we could convince them to post and see how many questions people get right. And the winner was. . .Elizabeth Phillips! Elizabeth beat out some major Edheads, by knowing her lyrics really well. She chalks her success up to listening to EFO everyday at work and by not killing off her brain cells at the pool bar before the quiz. Elizabeth won a FABULOUS sombrero with a Mexican vista on it, signed by the band members. Ok, now I'm done. Someone else needs to take up the posting baton and run with it. ttfn, Andrea from Iowa ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Nov 2003 22:09:00 -0500 From: "Vicki Martel" Subject: Re: There's Something About Jane (cruise report deux) This proved a > problem for Walleye when he stood up after "some may recall the singing of > the sirens/lured the sailors to wreck and drown" and confidently gave the > song title as "Three Fine Farmers of Daughter Brown". > My son calls this song "Three Fine Sisters of Charlie Brown."
