We are all going to Mike Errico's show at Jammin Java Thursday, aren't we hmmmmmm? I mention the Day in the Woods thing cuz if you got a kick out of Keller Williams you'll probably like Mike too. He does the same sort of thing, building a song up out of thin air with playback boxes and weird instruments, but he's like, you know, an adult. So the songs tend to have words and stuff. They're cynical and funny and erotic and introspective, all at the same time if that's possible. Oh yeah and that voice just kills. Ask DVN they know he rocks (back me up on this one Paulie!). errico.com if you care. I'll be there. - -T ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 Sep 2003 16:51:59 -0700 (PDT) From: Paul Dryden Subject: Re: Day in the Woods/NoVA people [non-EFO] i'd be there in a flash if i wasn't at school... jammin java is a GREAT place to see live acoustic music... and errico is so damn unique... anyone in the area... go!! make sure you see reed foehl (who he's playing with... originially of the band, acoustic junction) too... peace, paul Matthew Velazquez wrote: Soooooo. Every songwriter has a list of songs they wish they had written: it's called the "Damn, I Wish I Wrote That" list. (Clever, no?) Errico currently holds about four or five slots on my current DIWIWT list, with the top slot probably being "When She Walks By". And he's *great* in concert. And if enough people ask him nicely, he will perform his cover of "the greatest song ever written." (You'll have to go to the show to find out what song that is. Paul from DVN.
