On top of that, I lived in New Orleans a while ago - so the Quarter is close to my heart, though my time was pre- House of Blues. I'm sure we'll all find a way to connect before the show that night. I know Shelly will be there. For anyone still undecided - go! A great time is promised to all . . . See you in a couple of months . . . I'd love to know who is making a return trip. I'm psyched it's going from New Orleans to Mexico this year. I'll be getting there a day early for the pre cruise show! Me (Jim Raimo) and Bill Grover (From Cruise #1) are gonna be there this time. Any one else? ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Sep 2003 20:00:28 -0700 (PDT) From: nichole Subject: Re: A show of EFO hands i would absolutely love to go. It's really just awful that don't have anything similar here in the triad [ except for perhaps the Arts Council theatre, or maybe even the newly restored Reynolds High auditorium - random plug for my alma mater ] Anyway, for those above, or even those who've heard the artscentre in all its precious sonic glory, I'll be uploading the show to archive.org/audio tonight. It'll be available sometime tomorrow evening for download by anyone interested, and please do so! it's FREE Free free! and all you need is a computer with broadband access to download it. I track my EFO shows with banter as separate tracks [except for simple "hey this is " type song intro's. ], so you can just glide over it if you want just the songs, but the joy of a show is the humor as well. may i add that Walk Humbly, Son is absolutely chillingly, astonishingly beautiful [ and this recording is crystal clean ]. I just wish I could transcribe music... it'd be perfect for the barbershop quartet sideproject of my choir. oh well, guess i'll have to wait for a few more years for the EFO Fake book. :-D happy downloading [ please don't try looking until tomorrow night, it usually takes a few hours to clear once i've uploaded a show ]! namaste, will ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V6 #149 *****************************
