I know of 10 people already who will be there with bells on! They did. Fall of '99 was a Big Giant Tour for EFO; a ten-day tour instead of the (then) usual five- or six-day tour. They played (IIRC) two dates in Oregon and two (sold-out) nights at the Tractor Tavern (double- billed with The Paperboys). My understanding was that, while they personally liked the PNW, 1) it was a *grueling* tour, especially for six-months-pregnant Julie; and 2) it was not renumerative enough to support further touring. For the band as a business venture, them's the breaks. "But it was two sold-out shows!" I hear. True, and my recollection was that merch was fairly brisk, too. (Though most of the crowd was there for the Paperboys, Seattle being one of their home bases.) Keep in mind the enormous quantity of *stuff* that needs to be shipped around.o Anyhoo. There's usually an itinerary at their booking agents: http://www.flemingartists.com/eo-itin.html , only it's down right now. - --nicole twn *** "Knowledge never ennobles."--Moxy Fruvous Visit www.nicolopolis.com ... digital drivel for a weary world. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 May 2003 14:52:29 -0400 From: "John Ryan" Subject: Re: EFO in the PNW (was: Re: Argh!) Although one of the things they are trying to do now is to play larger venues less often rather than smaller venues more often. Perhaps they can do a trip there again and play a venue twice the size and fill the place. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nicole the Wonder Nerd" Cc: Sent: Friday, May 09, 2003 2:41 PM Subject: EFO in the PNW (was: Re: Argh!) > Up spake John Ryan on Fri, May 09, 2003 at 12:43:00PM -0400: > > But no, I don't think they have ever played the Pac NW, and it's about time > > they did!!!!
