The show in Cleveland was one of the better efo shows I've ever seen. They played two sets in an out-of-the-way old "ballroom" that usually hosts local progressive rock and rap/reggae acts. The band was on all night - but there were a few glitches with the sound in the venue which they need to work out. Here's the setlist: Beachland Ballroom, 4/26 1: Irish Dream Loitering Number 6 Minnesota 1945 Similie Song Hey Little Man Fruited Plain Quick Atlantic Fly Eddie's Concubine 2: Stupid American Mesolithic "Cuyahoga" Baltimore This My Town Canexican 1,000 Sarahs Farewell to St. Dolores (Dave Carter cover) (Eddie solo) Woman of Faith Old Dominion E: Smile on Your Brother (w/Julie on gee-tar) Farmer Brown "Cuyahoga" was the suggested name this time around for the horse-love song, which they'll probably call "Run from the Stable." "Similie Song" sounded great with the drum kit and I liked "Fly" even better the second time. "Baltimore" was played for only the second time and it was nice that they paid tribute to friend and colleague Dave Carter with "St. Dolores." Like on three rooms, Mike changed the end of the middle verse of "Canexican" to make it local, and somehow came up with yogurt and yoga to rhyme with Cuyahoga! I assume they've been doing that elsewhere, too. I would love to have the horse song on tape, and there was a taper there. If you're somewhere on this list I'd love to get a copy of this show! ttfn Brendan ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Apr 2003 18:44:23 -0400 From: "Brendan" Subject: Cleveland show 4/26 Continued from my other message...
