This list has been kind of barren lately. Who all will I see at Falcon Ridge? I've never been before, and since I currently live in California, I've also probably never met any of you all, so I'm a little nervous about going! Anyone want to give advice on how the social scene works out there? ;) I'll definitely work my way to the Budgiedome, but I have this bad habit of, um, you know, not introducing myself. So if you see a pudgy blond girl with glasses hanging around but not saying anything, that's me. :) I'm totally looking forward to this festival. So exciting to see just about all of my favorite bands in one place at one time. Yeah, okay, that's the limit of my assertiveness. ;) Hope to meet some of you in July! ===== *** sarah with an h *** sarahrobeson at yahoo dot com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Apr 2003 13:51:13 -0400 From: Subject: RE: FRFF Hello Sarah, and regards to the list. I'm not committed yet, but considering getting there this year. I was at the show in '01 for one day only. I camped about ten miles away. Those were two mistakes. I would go for the whole show this year, and camp out on the hill. I was so jealous of those people ! It was about the nicest place I've ever seen a show. Of course I've led a sheltered life :-) but it's much nicer than the Newport FF, for instance. I liked that I could watch the show, or turn to the right and watch them making hay in the field :-) Be prepared for a lot of sun. If you camp there, you can retreat to your tent, or umbrella, or whatever. Great music, great scene, cool crowd. I think I'm talking myself into it :-) I can't help you with the social scene, or the introduction thing, I'm not much good at it myself.... :-) dave - -----Original Message----- From: ext Sarah Withanh [mailto:sarahrobeson@yahoo.com] Sent: Wednesday, April 23, 2003 1:22 PM To: ed heads Subject: FRFF So, we need to spice up the content! My best friend and his wife (I'm slowly converting them into edheads) may come as well. It sounds like the lower half of Camp Fruvous will also be Camp Edhead, so that's where we're planning on staying. Since this is my first FRFF, I can't speak for the social scene, but if it's anything like the last Edhead cruise, everyone will be friendly. We want to go together to a show this summer, but I live in VA and she's 12 hours away, so meeting in the middle was the plan. Falcon Ridge looked like just the place, and after all the hype from the Edheads, we've decided to go for it. You can hang out with us! We'll be the silly college girls wearing weird clothes that Helen (friend in NH) will have made. But as another rookie, we need advice, too...does it cost anything to camp there? And where are the places to be? And what's this we hear about Moxy Fruvous? Will they be there too? Big MF fans, but we've never seen a show of theirs. Anyway we hope to hear some great bands, make some folk friends there, and have a blast. I can't wait! Meg At 10:22 AM 4/23/03 -0700, you wrote: >So, we need to spice up the content!
