Jill and I are going to make it to both Falcon Ridge AND the cruise this year (let's hear it for tax refunds and frequent flier miles). Shelly, is there still a Camp Fruvous, or should there be a Camp Edhead? We ended up jamming to more EFO songs than Fruvous songs at the Budgiedome last year. I also know how many people did a double take on the fact that there was a lot of screaming during the mention of Camp Fruvous, even though Fruvous wasn't part of FRFF 2002 at all. Only about 113 days to go! Out of curiosity, how are you (and others) planning on talking your employers into this? I will hopefully be employed by then, and that's my big stumbling block. Four-day FRFF plus a day travelling time on either side equals a week off. Ditto for the cruise. - --nicole twn *** If I have not seen as far as others, it is because giants have stood on my shoulders. You can't see me right now, but these are tears of funny. Anyway. After a looooong hiatus (last FRFF was in 1999 -- birth of the Budgiedome), I am volunteering this year and will be there come hell or high water, as this will be my last non-grown-up summer. I will likely sack out in the Budgiedome, mostly 'cause I can't get enough Lori and Steve. - -- Kate - -- Kate Leahy kleahy@loyola.edu Murder Victims' Families for Reconciliation 2161 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA 02140 617.868.0007 Jesuit Volunteer Corps 2002-2003 "The legislature couldn't reform it. Yar. :) Add Bernie from DVN to the mix. Think we'd ever hear a song? :) OK, OK, back to work for me. *sigh* - --nicole twn *** If I have not seen as far as others, it is because giants have stood on my shoulders. It will be great to see you there! But just because it's your last non-grown-up summer doesn't mean you can't do Falcon Ridge ever again! I'm well grown up, and I plan the time off for the festival. This year, that equals anywhere from 2-4 days! - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kate Leahy" To: "Ed Heads" Sent: Wednesday, April 02, 2003 3:51 PM Subject: RE: Falcon Ridge II > > We could also have Mike Clem, Jian, and John Flansburgh > > of They Might Be > > Giants all together performing. > > > > Otherwise known as Blah Blah Blah. > > You can't see me right now, but these are tears of funny. > > Anyway. Jill's a nurse, and works 3 (13 hour) shifts a week, which can be manipulated to get a week off. I might take sick time, but we're driving to Falcon Ridge (Thursday?) and possibly back Sunday, so I'd only miss 2 days. As for the cruise, I'm taking vacation time, but that's so we can get to N'awlins the Saturday before the cruise, so we can check it out.
