Unfortunately there was not a large crowd, possibly because of the snowstorm the previous night. I had planned to come to the show in Cambridge too but decided to get back home in one piece before the snow got too heavy. As it turned out, Cambridge got very little accumulation but the western suburbs where I live got socked with over a foot. So instead of two shows I just saw one. I didn't record the playlist in order but it was very similar to the solo show which Kerry posted. I'll only list songs I'm sure of, but I know he did a few more, one of which was a Dylan cover: Irish Dream Full Of Herself 30 Second Love Affair Sahara Independence, Indiana Message In A Bottle Fly Big Noise Number Six Driver Jerusalem This My Town Vincent Stupid American Candido & America Woman Of Faith Arnie If I had a Boat My favorites of the night were 'This My Town', 'Jerusalem', 'Woman of Faith', 'If I had a Boat' but especially special were 'Fly', 'Message in a Bottle' and 'Arnie'. Every time I hear Jerusalem I like it more and more. If you haven't listened to it for a while listen again and be taken in by it. Still the last three were songs I had never heard him do before. His cover of Sting's (OK, the Police) classic was fabulous. He had us join along in a sing-along during part of it with some of us joining him in chanting the title. 'Fly' was a great song - remind me of my own youthful idealism and joie de vivre as a seven year old. Arnie was a touching song about a parking lot attendant he knew when he lived in Salem MA for 5 months when he worked for NyNex just out of school - We can all be glad he decided to forgo that and make music instead. Another highlight of the evening was when he told a story about his son Ethan getting his courage up to sit on Santa's lap this Christmas season. When Ethan came back to Robbie, he had a shocked but bewildered look on his face and stammered "Daddy ... he KNOWed my name". Soon after he declared that he wanted to grow up to be Santa Claus. Robbie added that with him being Jewish and his wife Catholic - you know who won that battle ... Still Robbie said he plans to support his son in his dream to be Santa someday just as his parents supported him to become a folk musician. After the show I spoke with him for a while and can only say, check out the EFO website in a week or so - They are working on a new site which will be up soon and with it will be new news. ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V6 #2 ***************************
