Christopher Guest, the writer/director/star of those brilliant satires "Waiting For Guffman" and "Best In Show" is currently finishing a film entitled "A Mighty Wind" in which he, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer and Eugene Levy play a 60's folk group reunited to play a series of folk festivals. It's due to be released in April of '03 and I can't wait. It should be hysterical, and I'm sure geek fans like us & the music we like will take some good natured but on target ribbing. Back to lurking..... EFO PLEASE COME TO ROCHESTER NY!!! EFO PLEASE COME TO ROCHESTER NY!!! I have been thinking lately, as much as I love EFO, and want them to come someplace upstate, where do you think they could play in Rochester? I've been thinking, and have not yet thought of a suitable venue for them.... nichole AIM: Poetrygrl8 i'm always trying to get there i never really get there to that quiet place where i accept myself - -------------------- Yahoo! Fruvous used to do multiple nights there. I also think they would do well at The Montage Grill. The Montage Grill gets alot of good, eclectic entertainment and EFO is perfect for that venue... I've seen acts such as Loudon Wainwright III, Ike Turner and his band, Omar and the Howlers, Steve Forbert, and Glenn Tilbrook there. There were definitely some old-time edheads there. I saw several joes, several eroding mountains, and even heard a few country COOKINs. they played most of the regulars, as well as blue jeans, under david's feet, payday in the village, and some others. i think that my roomate's guests had a wonderful time at the show. - -rhiannon ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V5 #236 *****************************
