But personally, though it IS plausible (next year being some kind of Big Anniversary, if memory serves), it's still a rumor. So I starting reading about the possibility of an extended Falcon Ridge on the Nields Nook, made a comment, and then started reading more discussion. The funny thing is that I hadn't realized that I'd switched lists. I should introduce myself. Hi! I'm Joy Elyse Greenwald. (Joy Elyse is my first name.) I'm a differentiate myselfffentiate myslef from people who've been around for many more years than I have) and active Nields Nooker, so many of you many already know my name. :) I've been an EFO fan for a few years. I've been meaning to join the EdHeads list for a long time, but seem to forget when sitting in front of the computer. Finally figured outgeniusoesn't really take a genious). :) Nice to meet y'all. Joy Elyse U2 on LAUNCH - Exclusive greatest hits videos http://launch.yahoo.com/u2 ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Nov 2002 22:06:02 -0600 From: "Rob Sullivan" Subject: Fantastic Chicago show! If this went thru twice, I apologize. But I have a feeling it didn't. On Saturday night, EFO played for the 3rd time at the Park West in Chicago--by far the best place in Chicago to see a show. I even like it better than the Birchmere in EFO's hometown (and that's saying a lot because I love the Birchmere). The Park West is a club that's seen the likes of Talking Heads, Joe Jackson, Loreena McKennitt, Peter Himmelman, Jimmy Cliff, The Subdudes, Hothouse Flowers, and Johnny Clegg & Savuka. Tonight, a crowd of 300-400 (I'm guessing) remained respectfully silent as EFO and The Juleps played. That, by the way, is something that really doesn't happen much in Chicago. The Juleps are a wonderful Chicago-based band that reminded me at times of Kevin Welch. Melissa Zeimer, the lead singer, used to be in a band called Gertrude. She's got a great voice. They played a short set, but the audience was very receptive. Here's the EFO setlist: Irish Dream Loitering in the Lobby #6 Driver 20,000 Hearts >From Dacca Great Day Stupid American Tommy the Canexican 1,000 Sarahs Quick Three Fine Daughters of Farmer Brown Blue Jeans St. Delores (a fantastic cover) Eddie's drum solo (possibly the best of the many EFO shows I've seen. Just incredible!) Candido & America Eddie's Concubine Old Dominion - ----------- Get Together Irish Blessing (They chose to do this without using the sound system--an incredible feat in a relatively large room.)
