I've never been to a show in their main performance space (only the smaller Alterknit Lounge) so I don't know what the room is like, but parking is very easy. There's a garage to the west of the club, on Sycamore. It's not free, but when you exit you're right in front of the Knitting Factory's entrance. As a woman who frequently goes to concerts alone, I really appreciate places where I don't have to worry about the distance between my car and the venue. (So I second Nicole's SF parking advice. I don't know the garage she recommended, but I do know it can be pretty scary walking to and from the Great American.) And I'm pretty sure this is my first time posting here, so um... hi. Of course it's OK. The only rule is that the band must be AWESOME. Speaking of that, I just got back from the Groovelily show at Jammin' Java, and they were most excellent. The Murphy elders were there and seemed to enjoy themselves. Any band that's endorsed by Joe & Kitty Murphy is alright by me :o)# They're playing the Kennedy Center Millenium Stage (Groovelily, not Joe & Kitty) on Sunday if any of you DC people are interested. - -T ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Oct 2002 20:52:57 -0700 From: "Ron Rosen" Subject: Re: Re: EFO in NoHo and Prov Eddie: Are you by any chance a...nightclub owner?
