Though I know that there are cruises geared towards family fun, I don't think Carnival Cruises are among them. They call themselves "The Fun Ship", and they don't mean Disney type fun from what I could tell when I went. The booze flows heavy, it's everywhere, and many people where there to spend the duration of the cruise drunk. The few kids that i saw that on the ship didn't seem to be having a blast. They can't be in the casino, and nothing for them to do at the bars. I don't know if and how babysitting works - but how much fun is having a babysitter on a cruise ship when your 13. Just my two cents. >From: Stuart Jewell >To: "'puddytat@gis.net'" , "edheads@efohio.com" > >Subject: RE: are kids even allowed???? >Date: Mon, 16 Sep 2002 19:47:29 -0400 > >Your right. Menken" Subject: RE: are kids even allowed???? Sounds like Sam thinks it's cool to drink to excess. All I can say is: I've been a kid on a grownup cruises, and I enjoyed it, and I've taken children on grownup cruises, and they've enjoyed it. I was thinking of the Edhead III cruise, with my children, but it sounds like a lot of the company is going to be a little too "mature" for our tastes. My other thought about cruises, is that some people do use the cruise environment to drink to excess, and eat to excess, because they can't or won't do it at home. These are the people who veteran cruisers tend to avoid and who should really stay home. It not cool to see someone #@$%faced, especially when they're on the Lido Deck leaning over the rail. - -----Original Message----- From: Sam Baker [mailto:sammybaker@hotmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, September 17, 2002 11:56 PM To: edheads@efohio.com Subject: RE: are kids even allowed????
