"Someone" must have been somewhere else or smokin' some serious stuff.. The only thing that was bothersome was a crowd standing behind us on the lawn talking. It is obvious that the most value they get from their $18.00 lawn tickets is to stand there and "yap" and quite loudly during the entire show. We and others around us were very perturbed. However, we were the ones requesting them to be quiet when we finally had to request the ushers step in to get them to be quiet. So, if you're reading this list and you are them and unless you plan on (heaven forbid) watch and listen to the show, please do not bother wasting your money on a band you obviously don't like and want to ruin for everyone else around you. I believe your comment was "haven't you ever been to a concert..?". The answer is "Yes". And my idea of listening to a show is just that. Not standing around and talking and having EFO as your background music!!! If anyone else out there has a problem with this, a nice rebuttal might strike up an interesting thread on concert decoram. Someone on another list said he or she saw EFO at WolfTrap and it was a terrible show, and 1/2 the audience left during the second song. The first part obviously could just be one person's opinion, but I can't imagine 1/2 the audience leaving at the beginning of a set unless they were the tail end of a show where there were other acts that people came to see. Anyone know anything about this? ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 25 Aug 2002 15:33:17 -0400 From: Daniel Risacher Subject: Re: Bad Night at WolfTrap? >>>>> "Ron" == Ron Rosen writes: Ron> Someone on another list said he or she saw EFO at WolfTrap Ron> and it was a terrible show, and 1/2 the audience left during Ron> the second song. Anyone know anything about this? I was in the orchestra seats, and I was surpised when some people near me did get up and leave during the second song. I assumed that they were Jonatha Brooke fans (She opened the show), and had just come to hear her, not EFO. It wasn't many people though. Extrapolating, I guessed that it was maybe 100 people. For a packed, 6000 person venue, if 100 people just came to see the opener, I'd hardly think it's something bad. I thought the show was awesome. The friends I brought (who were not previously EFO fans) also thought it was amazing. - -- "Where are we going, and why are we in this handbasket?"
