Menken" Subject: Chords to Candido & America Hello. This is my first post to the list: My daughter, Emily, is a 9 year old who loves EFO. Her current favorite song is Candido & America, which she sings somewhat loudly but, I think, on key. When she was younger she belted out Eddie's Concubine ... she thought it was about a boat. She is going to audition for her first theater production, which is a local non-profit production of Annie (we are in Westchester County, NY). She is supposed to bring a song to sing and sheet music for the song - I suppose a chord list would suffice). She has picked Candido & America, but obviously I don't have and don't know where to get the sheet music (I guess she is supposed to give it to the pianist to have him/her accompany her). Is there a way I can obtain the sheet music, or a chord list, if it exists, to Candido & America? Or whatever? If not, does anybody have any ideas as to what I can do? Thanks in advance. David Menken. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Aug 2002 13:08:23 EDT From: Shellyus@aol.com Subject: Mike's Hollywood connection???? ok, i found this -far- too amusing! i was watching CNN today and randy quaid was on talking about 'the adventures of pluto nash', the new eddie murphy movie set in the future in which he plays a robot. the interviewer asked him if he even REMEMBERED the plot since they shot the flick 2 years ago. he said he did. then said : 'eddie is a nightclub owner.....' i cracked up. i think if he would have said 'owns the northern half of the town', they would have to have me committed. {shooosh, y'all!!!!} shell whose brain is -clearly- affected by these 3 weeks of cable TV and will hopefully get back to normal after sunday when she ree-turns to the philly burbs :) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Aug 2002 11:31:23 -0700 (PDT) From: Nicole Carlson Subject: Re: Chords to Candido & America Hi David, welcome to the list! Or whatever? Whoa... ambitious. To the best of my knowledge, EFO doesn't publish sheet music, with the possible exception of Julie's wedding song "All I Ask". The chords, however, are out there, on an unofficial EFO chord site: http://jjrrutgers.tripod.com/EFOTab.html . Candido in particular is at http://jjrrutgers.tripod.com/candido.txt . Now then. If I were you, I might try to cobble together some sheet music. Matt tabbed out the introductory riff; I could try to translate it into the actual note values. After that, maybe just series of chords. Good luck! Hope your daughter wins big. :) - --nicole twn *** Visit www.nicolopolis.com ... digital nonsense for a weary world. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Aug 2002 18:45:18 -0400 From: Don Semmens Subject: ATTN Washington DC area edheads (NefoC) Regan will be playing Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA tomorrow night, August 15th.
