Julie had mentioned to me one time that they would like to find a bigger venue, in part I believe so they wouldn't have to do two shows, but also just to have a bigger audience. I've never been to the Knitting Factory, but I know it's in Hollywood. I think it's more of a rock club, but they do have some folky acts sometimes. It will be interesting to see if they can draw as well at the Knitting Factory. My impression is that a lot of folk fans are not that enamored of the Hollywood scene, so it will be interesting to see if they come out. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 4 Aug 2002 10:01:00 -0700 From: "Ron Rosen" Subject: DON'T LOOK BACK AGAIN Don't Look Back, the great documentary about Dylan's tour of England in 1965 (?) just concluded on TRIO. But it will be back again today at 2:00 pm Pacific, 5:00 pm Eastern. TRIO is running movies about music for the rest of today and every night this month beginning at 9:00 pm Eastern, 6:00 pm Pacific. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 4 Aug 2002 10:05:18 -0700 From: "Ron Rosen" Subject: DON'T LOOK BACK AGAIN Don't Look Back, the great documentary about Dylan's tour of England in 1965 (?) just concluded on TRIO. Don't be misled by programming guides - there was another movie by the same name, and some program guides are listing this movie - but if it's on TRIO and it's called Don't Look Back, it's the Dylan documentary. I just discovered a website called www.makeashorterlink.com If you have a really long link to put in an email, and it's just too long to fit on a line, you go to this website, put your really long link in the box, and it will give you a new, shorter link to use in your email. When people click on it, they will be directed to the link you wanted. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 4 Aug 2002 21:57:11 -0400 From: Stuart Jewell Subject: [none] For you "folkies" who may have been into the "Dead", there is currently a live webcast on for "The Other Ones" as I write (8/4/02 approx. 9:53PM EDT) (currently playing "Mountains of the Moon" - Lesh singing). It apparently goes till 12:00Midnight Central time. The link is as follows: http://images.dead.net/webcast.html Just though you "deadhead" edheads might like to know (if you didn't already). However, I'm going to have to sign-off (sniff). I have to work. I can't log in to work from home and get external links as well. Therefore, I will miss the rest of the show. Maybe somebody can respond and let me know how it was (ARRRG!). Stuart ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V5 #177 *****************************
