I was the lucky nichole at the most amazing best FR ever. (really I think efo performed the best this year that I've seen them, of the past 3 years at FR) But anywho, welcome jay! nichole Nicole Carlson wrote:On Mon, 29 Jul 2002, Jason Mutford wrote: > Hello.. You want the "EFO oval" shirt sold at: http://www.bulletproofstore.com/vcartmerch.html#eddie They still have 'em, but only in medium. Hope this helps. > Also, I heard a rumor that someone here has built up a great efo guitar tab > collection. Info on that too would be kinda cool. It's butt-kicking, all right. Point your browser to http://jjrrutgers.tripod.com/EFOTab.html for all the EFO tab goodness you can handle.[2] Mad props to Matthew T. Velazquez for figuring out the chords. And welcome, Jason! - --nicole twn [1] Yes, I know there's other Nicoles; but to me, I'm the only one that counts. :) [2] Unless you're me, in which case there's way MORE than you can handle. An average session, for me, goes like this: "'One heart cannot'" *pause, finger new chord* "'hold'--oops." *finger chord again* "'hold all of'" *pause, new chord* "'this'--crud!" *** "Malcolm solves his problems with a chainsaw, and he never has the same problem twice!"--the Arrogant Worms Visit www.nicolopolis.com ... digital nonsense for a weary world. nichole AIM: Poetrygrl8 http://dreamingchild.blogspot.com "what kind of paradise am i looking for? i've got everything i want and still i want more maybe some tiny shiny key will wash up on the shore" Yahoo! I think art can be left to interpretation. I guess she could be saluting. But Julie does have a history with fingers. At Falcon Ridge I was over at the workshop stage for "Guitar Gods & Goddesses" so had to miss Da Vinci's Notebook's mainstage set. But I was standing at the side of the workshop stage and could occasionally hear from the mainstage. At one point I hear this beautiful female voice singing something about not pulling someone's finger. Turns out that was Julie. Ok, here's my EFO FR report. Their mainstage set was way too short, but I guess Falcon Ridge would go on for days if everyone got a 2 hour set. That wouldn't be a bad thing, imo. Here's EFO's set: Number Six Driver Quick 1,000 Sarahs If I Had A Boat Atlantic North Pacific Rim (wow!) Eddie's Drum solo This is the second time I've seen "Eddie's magic head trick" where the sound of the conga makes his head magically appear. Guess you have to see it to believe it. Not sure how it's done, but that's the magic of magic. :-) Candido American Old Dominion Other EFO sightings for me: A wonderful version of "Farewell to Saint Dolores" at the Dave Carter tribute A GREAT version of Nowhere Man at the Fab Four Forever workshop. They should definitely start including this in their set. Mike Clem has a beautiful tenor voice. I guess we already knew that from the harmonies, but his lead on this song was fantastic! And I'm not just saying that because I want to play a trombone duet with him some day. :-) Most of the time I hear him on lead are humorous songs. The Sunday Morning Gospel wake-up call. EFO is quite the popular group at Falcon Ridge and I imagine they will be there every year they can. I will as well, as this festival is such a wonderful weekend of music and family. I hope to have pics up soon. They wouldn't let me down front on Saturday night, because I wasn't press (note to self: get a press pass next year). But, that rule didn't apply during Sunday morning. don dreaming of blue skies (is) where I wanna be -- Regan Don Semmens; Richmond VA; donsem@attbi.com Buy Regan's new CD "Coming or Going?" http://www.cdbaby.com/reganmusic2 Rob Buck Memorial Scholarship Fund http://gottabuck.org/ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Jul 2002 12:34:06 -0400 (EDT) From: jkpolk@ntplx.net Subject: Re: Julie & fingers (and FR) Quoting Don Semmens : > > Ok, here's my EFO FR report. Time has no meaning at Falcon Ridge. So 3 days can seem like one.
