Everyone knows Buffalo's secretly part of Canada. :) On to the live vs. canned subject: Live: * Very Fine Funeral. On CD, it sounds so... timid. * Hail Mary. Ever since they added the drum kit, it just roxorz my soxorz. * Candido & America. I really like the harmonies during the bridge that aren't on the CD. That said, I really like the extra vocal richness contributed by DVN on the CD. Maybe I should put this under the "Both" category. * Let's Get Mesolithic. I must confess that I usually skip it on the CD. But you'd better believe I boogie my brains out when I hear it live. * Continents of Time. I've never actually heard this live; I just don't like the synth and I suspect it would kick butt without it (i.e. live). Canned: * Bonny Brook. I like the accordion. :) - --nicole twn *** "The personal computer market is about the same size as the total potato chip market. Continents of Time is one of those "lesser" songs for me, pretty much because of the oboe. It just sounded too cheesy. Then I heard it with John on the piano, playing essentially the same oboe line. Man what a difference. Night and day with this song live, it took on a whole new meaning. > > Canned: > * Bonny Brook. Haha, good plan. Indeed, I saw Moxy Fruvous a few summers ago. I wish EFO would come to western NY! Rochester (where I live now), Buffalo (where I'll live in a month), even Syracuse! I'd be there! :) nichole daniel godwin wrote: If EFO came to Rochester, or the surriounding Western New York community, there would be at least 2 people in the audience (and probably more... I could drag my friends) They could market themselves as, "Like Fruvous.... but better" since Buffalo and Rochester have (or had) a lot of Moxy Fruvous fans.
