I could say the same about Rush as well (All apologies to Eddie Hartness). I have never seen their live show, but I know that every show is EXACTLY the same, something that I don't like at a live show. I want to be surprised, some spontaneouty from the show. EFO is amazing for always digging up a few chestnuts for every leg of the tour they do, especially for the Rams Head shows. And yeah, big arena shows don't do it for me anymore either. I recall having a absolute blast at only one arena show, and that was Billy Joel's Millenium Concert. Thank goodness I decided not to see him this time around. Arena shows are too impersonal. I like to be RIGHT where the music is happening, which I why I always try to be up front at every show. - ----- Original Message ----- From: Ellen Buckley To: John Ryan Sent: Wednesday, July 10, 2002 1:59 PM Subject: Re: Incurring the wrath of Edheads... > John Ryan wrote: > > > > I agree with you Ellen, most band are indeed better live, with a few > > exceptions. > > sure. that's why i said "almost." ;) in my case, i'd have to say that > Rush is really more of a studio band. love the albums, especially the > 80s stuff. wouldn't bother going to see them live anymore though (even > if i did ever go to big-arena shows anymore. which i generally don't). > > good to know about radiohead. ;) i've never seen them live but i do > have their first 3 albums. > > peace, > ellen ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 10 Jul 2002 14:31:27 -0400 From: Ellen Buckley Subject: Re: Incurring the wrath of Edheads... I'm pretty confident that the chords are right, but I could definitely be missing something. I also tried to tab out the solo, but most of that was just guesswork, most of it is probably way off (i think the first and last lines are close). And the lyrics may not be perfect. But anyway, if the guitarists out there want to try it out, I'd love to see any improvements you have. And songbook folks, please feel free to use it (with any corrections).
