Ok fellow Edheads...I have said it before, and I'll say again. EFO's recorded stuff is good...but it is their live stuff that truly sets them apart. Which leads me to my inspired idea and new pet project...given ONLY the live music available on edheads.efohio.com I want to make a mix of EFO's best "banter"s and the songs they lead into...a virtual show if you will. It is their banter that makes me smile as I sit at work listening to their shows, and in order to seduce more people to EFO, I think compiling an album of their best banter and songs will be just the way of doing it. Plus, I simply think it will be fun. I'll post the results after they are all collected. Please indicate which show and the filename of the banter. Let the games begin. Bertram Tunnell NYC Edhead (whose favorite EFO banter occurs right in the middle of the Train Song and includes a fascist Teletubby reference...) _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Jun 2002 14:08:14 -0400 From: "John Ryan" Subject: Re: An inspired idea... Oh, so basically this will become Portable EFO Show Version 2.0? I would exclude anything from the last Bad Habits Grille show since with all the covers they did, including the 22-minute Train Song, it's a show for the ages by itself. Hopefully we'll get some entries from the Edhead Cruise and Rams Head Spring 2002. Rams Head shows are great to draw from since they usually pull out old chestnuts at those shows. I think we must hear the "Hey Little Man" banter from Rams Head Fall 2001. Before that song, Robbie told a story that eventually went right into the gutter. Julie couldn't stop laughing enough to sing the song! ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Jun 2002 19:55:50 EDT From: Shellyus@aol.com Subject: Re: An inspired idea ok..mebbe i am just to programmed at covering all the bases, but wouldn't this be a thing that one might need to check with the band on first, even though all that is posted on the site? i mean..shouldn't *we*{i use the royal we} check to make sure no one's breaking any copyrights? it's the band's livelihood after all.... ok. i'll shut up now. just making sure that this is all copasetic. {copacobana??} shelly ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V5 #128 *****************************
