Oh, and I really really LOVE Old Dominion, Fruited Plain, Hail Mary, Mesolithic, Eddie's Concubine, Fritchie, NPR and Blue Jeans. Gee, I don't know why I felt the need to get THAT off my chest..... well, first off, i am gonna dedicate it to robbie's mom, coz i know she's reading it. ellen, you're a super lady and i am glad i got to know you and spend time chittering with you. :) ok..here we go!! there's an old country song by gene watson that contains the lyric o/' and i heard you laughed your cares away on a carr-i-be-an cruise o/'. well, i thought of that all weekend. laugh we did. have fun we did. drink. oh my Lord, did we -evah-!!!!!! were we entertained? oh my Lord, yes. and the band even -performed-. *grin* friday found me arriving in miami and being immediately socked in the face with temperatures of 'a balmy 86 degrees' as the pilot said. man.....-not- the best time to have on jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. i could not WAIT to get on the boat and change. i arrived in the glamourous cabin M-91 to see that 2/3 of my wonderful cabinmates, those 2 crazy californians, jess and nicole, had already arrived and claimed the top bunks in a threat to ambush andrea and i during the night. i met 'bubba', got situated, changed quickly, and then shortly, they arrived to invade me. well.......the room... we heard a familiar voice in the hall and opened the door to see none other but EDDIE HARTNESS HIMSELF{!!!!!}. he was across the hall from us. we went out and did the hug thang, went back in for a spell, then decided to set out for the deck to see who else we could see. the first people i saw on our way to the lido deck were joe and kitty and joe had a beer and kitty a glass of wine. from that point on, i -knew- we were in for a fun and exciting trip!!! we hit the lido and walked by the swingin doors to the topless deck. of course, we were curious, so we went upstairs, actually figuring that's where we'd find mike. *g* well, we were right. well...ok, -technically- HE found us coz he saw us up there and yelled 'hey! you aren't topless! what are you doing up there???!!' we yelled 'we thought this is where we'd find you!!' he summoned us downstairs, we greeted him, his dad and brother, john, robbie, helen, greg, tom, and lauren, and..the man who would prove to be one of the most integral and pivotal men on the trip; daniel, the bar waiter from the czech republic. he not only was a deck waiter, but one of ours in the glamourous 'puttin on the ritz' lounge where all of our -official- functions were held as well. we were very kindly treated to the 'sissy drink' of the day, pulled up chairs, and watched mike assembling a collection of paper umbrellas for a 'costume' he was gonna make for sunday. we decided to go change into our swimsuits and soak up some sun and when we ree-turned to the room, andrea had arrived! yay!! coz, like we were -way- concerned coz we hadn't seen her and the boat had set sail. we were slightly disappointed that there was no 'love boat' type sail-off...like...we expected to be throwing streamers and waving to people...didn't happen..... ah well...she gave us bubbles to make up for it,anyhoo!!! we went back to the deck to find certain people 'asleep' on deck chairs with painted cow toes. and interesting fruit and paper umbrella decorations. and drooling. but jess already -told- you that. and we have pics. heh. and we blew bubbles. even though there was wind. coz...well...yeah...... *g* we hung out for a while and then went to get ready for the cocktail soiree. we went to that, had a blast{well..except for the mannequins which were, i hafta agree with eddie on this one, just damn eepy-cray!!}we drank more sissy drinks, some of them being the evil 'blue things' *grin* robbie told us that the show the next night was gonna be an all-request show and that we should write 3 songs on a cocktail napkin or paper and bring them to him during dinner and he'd tally em all for tomorrow night's show. stof gave the band this banner with the eddie guy in the middle surrounded by a circle of every lyric that the band ever wrote...handwritten very tiny...wowsa!!! we went down to the imagination dining room for dinner and met our awesome table mates, ben, stof, jill, and kerry and began to strike up fun convos. jess and i shared a private moment of sillyness and the fun commenced. near the end of dinner, robbie said everyone was gonna adjourn to the bar outside of the lounge, so we went back to the room a lil, then joined everyone. we all had a blast...lotsa laughs, wine, cigars, coronas...etc.....then we turned in at..um.....dunno when. i know jess and i went up for the midnight buffet and sat with some snooty people that we couldn't take, so we didn't finish our food and bailed. we went night night and awaited the dawning of a new day in nassau. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 22 May 2002 23:00:47 -0500 From: Dave Read Subject: Re: Austin show now available At 10:25 AM 5/20/2002 -0400, SK1124@aol.com wrote: >Dave, I'd love to have a CD of the Austin show.
