Neumann KM140s > MP2 > D8 8th row (or so), DFC, mics @ 6 feet. I have to fiddle with my souncard and the drivers but if anyone's interest, it sounds real nice, I'll let ya know when i can get it converted. - -Dan ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 May 2002 16:43:05 -0500 From: Dave Read Subject: Austin show now available Just a quick note to announce that the music from the EFO show at the Cactus Cafe in Austin on May 11 is now available. Soundman Bob did a super favor and provided me with RCA outputs from his sound board, which I then recorded using my miniDV camcorder...from there, it was all digital, straight to WAV files and MP3s. I did miss the final show-closing a capella rendition of "Down to the River" due to some as-yet-unexplained glitch, but the rest of the show sounds *great*. The whole shmear is availlable from my web site, at http://www.daveread.com/efo/ The Houston show is not ready yet, although I do have tapes of it. I expect to get it captured and processed in the next few days. Until then, the link to that show on my EFO web page will be broken. My only request is that y'all refrain from downloading the whole pile during "working hours" aka M-F 8am-6pm Central time. The site is hosted at work, and we have clients who use that same server during business hours. If anyone wants CDs of the shows, shoot me an email and we'll work out something. I'll be happy to make copies, although I don't want to lose $$ on the deal... My public thanks for Bob for making it so easy for me to tape those shows. I love having the music on tap! Hey Bob, if you're listening, I have two questions for you: (1) did you get a clean tape of the final song from the Austin show? On my tape, the sound goes dead for about 35 seconds in the middle of the song. (2) What was that web site that you told me about where you buy your DAT tapes? Thanks!
