I totally hear ya there. It's only a little more than three months away! I'll be there for 4 days, taking Thursday and Friday off this time. Going up on Friday night really made it a 2-day festival for me, and I wanted more dammit! It's just great to camp out and be with friends. There was a question about what to bring to FRFF. There is a wonderful website (That still gets updated) at http://www.mit.edu/people/skkelly/frff-bring.html It is a virtual FAQ on FRFF. I know for a fact there are very little EFO songs charted out on the web right now. Plus The Nields published a songbook for nearly every album they've done, and Fruvous has Fireside Fruvous. Well, I think it is high time that EFO has its own songbook! Now, I'm not the best guitarist in the world (Hell, I haven't even been playing for a year), but I have a knack for figuring out how to play songs by ear, at least the chords. I am nowhere near Robbie-level on my guitar playing, but I can sure transcribe a song. Just last week, I figured out Atlantic for a friend of mine. I've already decided to put a lot of Fishbowl and Quick on the songbook, but I'm going to need your help on this. First of all, if you know of any existing chord charts for EFO songs, I'd certainly appreciate it. It will save me a LOT of time. Also, give me a wishlist of songs you'd like me to put in the book. By the time Falcon Ridge comes around, I can have copies of this songbook for people who need it. It will be in a 3-ring binder, and the songs will be in album/track order. Since I have to buy these binders, paper, and ink cartridges, donations are accepted and appreciated. I'm mostly doing this for myself, but I want others to have it as well. This way a lot of people can jam out to EFO tunes at future festivals. I'll have updates on this project as FRFF approaches. Let's make it happen! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 18 Apr 2002 09:12:07 -0700 (PDT) From: nichole Subject: Re: FRFF---strange??? John Ryan wrote: >I totally hear ya there. That's what I did last year, (by force, not choice) and it was *not* the same. (can't wait!!!) nichole AIM: Poetrygrl8 http://dreamingchild.blogspot.com "Capitalism is the devil's wet dream." Wait. Me? Strange? *Never*. Dude. The FRFF aerial shot was my computer wallpaper at work for, like, six months. And even now that I've replaced it, my office is still full of pictures of FRFF goodness. Mmmm...FRFF... Any chance you could put the songs on the web? There is an EFO "tab" site out there somewhere but last count it only had four songs on it.
