[Diane Mittler ....... the setlist~ woman of faith loitering in the lobby number six driver minnesota 1945 continents of time hey little MEN{which, btw, ends with 'let your mama get some sleep tonight...whoa...yeah!!!} quick fly south observation the three fine daughters of farmer brown{or the 'crouching joe, hidden murphy' number} train song great day ~~intermission~~ great day step into the outside 1,000 sarahs atlantic fruited plain oh my brother eddie's solo{which, yes...was AMAZING..which is not new..but...man!!! he was on -fire- that night!!} irish dream eddie's concubine candido ~~encore~~ old dominion{which was more fun than one should -have- on a saturday night...and the guy who commented about the edhead list said to care 'wait a muinute; you're from MD and she's from PA~~why are -you- cheering???' *grin* silly human!} operator ~~2nd encore~~ down to the river to pray ok......now..a few highlights/things you should know about saturday night. pay attention; you -may- be quizzed on this later!! ~trust robbie's 'vibe's when he says it's gonna be a great show; the man has FABULOUS instincts!!! ~julie gained regal status during the maternity leave and is now 'dame julie murphy wells', though mike -did- point out that that's kinda derogatory..like 'broad fergie' or 'bimbo di'. ~mike also informed us that he tested a theory he had and you -can- remove your card SLOWLY at 'pay at the pump and it still works, even though it instructs you to 'remove your card quickly'. what a rebel. :) ~robbie said that they wanted to do 'free bird', but it turned out to be too hard to play. ~this is "the EFO 'up yours!' tour~sadistic folk!!" ~though the deadline has passed, they have opened up 10 more cabins for the cruise. come on, people...join the merry throng!!! ~factoring into your decision re: the above statement should be mike's plan for he and joe to lead an excursion into the town of nassau for corn rows. ~julie and mike make -great- shadow puppets! ~contrary to popular belief{which i can -never type or say without hearing it to the 'gravity' tune...}it is not julie's sister that joins her first on the 'down to the river to pray' vocals; it's mike. and he's -not- a girl. he's an Irish tenor! oh..and by the way...those 2 EFO virgins that were sitting across from us? when they left, she said "see you at the next show!!" yay! we converted 2 more edheads!! on my way back home to PA last night, i tuned my radio to some random station and found a FOLK SHOW!!{which turned out to be 'detours' on 89.7, WTMD in towson, MD} they gave their phone number, so i called in to request some EFO. i talked to the DJ who said that he usually carried them, but didn't bring a disc with him, but he'd check..they should have them on file. we talked about the band and i told him the show rocked and such. a little while later, they announced that they 'crapped out on a request; someone had called in and requested EFO, but they didn't have any in the station library' *gasp* they must -so- make sure that's adjusted! all of the shows they were announcing at the venues they announce shows -at-, they SHOULD have and should be playing EFO!! dammit!!! word!!! ok....there y'all go! enjoy! and seeeeeeooo..basically..in summary...the band is SO back!!!! they are fierce and should not be missed. go to the website. check out the dates. do what you can to share the magic of the 'up yours' tour. *grin* you'll be glad you did. shelly {who is already counting the days til the bowery ballroom show in NYC} ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 25 Mar 2002 07:56:59 -0800 (PST) From: Diane Mittler Subject: Re: EFO 3/23~the 'post-baby, pre-oscar extravaganza!!!'
