(BTW, Paul, I need you to e-mail me pvtly on a small matter). Here's the deal: A friend pointed out at a party this Saturday night that you can sing "Liposuction" to the "Theme from Wonder Woman". Y'all remember the old Linda Carter TV series, right? Yeah, you sneer now, but you'll be trying it in a bit. And the "ABC Song" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" are really the same tune, when sung over and over and over and over. For those of you who don't have a two year old, this might not seem relevant, I suppose. If this post shows up twice, I promise I will never post again! My previous two posts showed up twice and I can't figure out why. - --Kristen in Wisconsin ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Oct 2001 20:33:22 -0700 From: "Ron Rosen" Subject: Re: alternate tunings > you can also sing 'Amazing Grace' to the tune of the Theme Song from > Gilligan's Island, and vice versa. I don't know how this topic came up. But... There was this genius DJ in San Francisco, Russ 'the Moose' Syracuse, who used to sing the weather report to the tune of Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush. It was hysterical. He also once sang a promo for a contest to the tune of Stranger on the Shore: "My name, is Russ the Moose and we're having a contest on KYA, whereby you can win a thousand dollars every hour..." Totally hysterical. Oh, and you can sing both of those to "O Little Town of Bethlehem" and "House of the Rising Sun." And if you're up on your depressing French films, you can sing "It's a Small World After All" to the theme from The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. :) Carey _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V4 #255 *****************************
