I don't know whether or not they will have it in hand by the New England shows this weekend. I encourage everyone to buy one (or several) the first chance you get, and spread the word to Edheads and not-yet-Edheads about this important project. And if you think ahead to the holiday season, this CD will make a really thoughtful gift. You would not only be introducing someone to great music, you'd also be helping an important cause. My wife and I have tried to have our first kid for over three years. Thanks to the miracles of modern medicine she was able to get pregnant TWICE last year but both times had miscarriages. Again thanks to modern medicine they were able to figure out what was causing the miscarriages. Finally, earlier this year she got pregnant again, and this time thanks to the medication preventing another miscarriage, she is now almost 23 weeks pregnant - well over the hump. Anyway, we will be seeing EFO at The Point in Bryn Mar on 10/27 (early show) with my wife and my parents who are thrilled to be soon-to-be grandparents. Now that I am about to become a Daddy and the ultrasounds have made this all so very "real" (in a good way, of course), "Little Man," despite being just a cute little song has taken on a lot of meaning for me. I thought it would be neat if they played "Little Man" at the show and somehow surprised my wife by mentioning that Julie wasn't the only woman bearing child in the room. :o) That's such a corny idea that I'm embarassed that I even thought of it, but what the heck. What do you guys think? And if you don't think it's too corny, who would I talk to about the possibility? Your Pal, Chris Mal a.k.a. My suggestion is emailing the band and asking them. efo@efohio.com Then if you see them before the show be sure to remind them... as email requests are easy to forget. This is JUST the type of thing that EFO likes to do. They get so many birthday requests and stuff, that i'm sure they get very old (they've many times referred to themselves as the "chucky cheese of folk"). but how often do you get a new baby request?! - -rhiannon At 04:31 PM 10/17/01 -0400, YourPalCM@aol.com wrote: > I thought it would be neat if they played "Little Man" at the show and > somehow surprised my wife by mentioning that Julie wasn't the only woman > bearing child in the room. :o) > >That's such a corny idea that I'm embarassed that I even thought of it, >but what the heck.
