How many EFO songs have an Oboe on them? I also had to pass this write up on EFO that was in the 2001-2002 program guide for Perry's Egyptian Theater in Ogden Utah: "One of the hottest independent bands around, Eddie From Ohio's tight harmonies, humorous lyrics and eclectic array of musical forms have won audiences from east to west, north to south and beyond. Entertainment Weekly christened the group "a 'folkternative' quartet who charm with an irresistible cache of smart, quirky songs that goose the imagination." This four-piece acoustic ensemble mixes everything from folk and calypso to blues and bluegrass. Break out of the mundane and cross the line into a world where goldfish and dogs plot to escape from their dull, suburban homes, where an international love affair never gets past the language barrier - into the 'state' that is Eddie From Ohio." That that was a good one. - -Dave Bastian >I _swear_ I've heard this live. Jess (or anyone else who followed the >California tour a couple years ago), do you remember ever hearing it? I >think it was the '98 tour, or the one immediately following it. Maybe at >McCabe's or Freight & Salvage? >Eric ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 Oct 2001 16:49:07 -0700 (PDT) From: Jess Subject: Note Bene on Requests Somthing that Julie mentioned this Ca tour was that when people request oldersongs, like Fly South, Falling Rock, and such, it's hard forthem to play them off the top of their heads cause they haven't played them in awhile. Those songs need to be practiced beforehand I guess. :> IMHO, a live album of the old stuff reworked would kickass. (Omar sounds great with the drum kit.)
