Paige was sharing her booth with another friend of hers who makes decorative boxes. They put something in all the boxes to entice the potential patrons to peruse the inner beauty of the boxes. All the boxes, that is, but one. I dug in my pockets to see what could possibly be there to put in the box. At the humorous suggestion of my car keys came the remark from Paige, "Sure, buy the box with the car keys in it, & you win the car...All you have to do is find the car with the Eddie From Ohio bumper sticker for your free ride." We all laughed. Funny, but that EFO sticker is how people know my car. Even in my salon (local book discussion & secret illuminati group meeting, not hair styling joint) when we were discussing Nick Hornby's High Fidelity last week when we went around naming Top 5 favorite bands they said, "Berkeley: 1.Eddie From Ohio, who's next?" Guess you had to be there, too. But it is kinda funny being known for an attachment to a band. God Bless America! No Rules, I think. I'm guessing the '98 show you refer to is the Bad Habits show, but if not, they played it there, too. They played it almost every time I saw them in Blacksburg from 95-97. I have not heard it played though in the past few years. They don't do many covers any more now that they have a stockpile of their own songs.
