The Me and Thee coffeehouse is actually in a small unitarian church. I saw efo their last year and it was the probably the best show I've ever seen (though the recent nyc city show is up there for entirely different reasons). They sounded fabulous (efo's always on, but sometimes they are _really_ on) and the crowd was packed into the pews and spilling out of room and into every second. I just hope I can make it back to see it this year - not only to I have wrap up a business trip in Lima, but then I'll have to escape the office in new york... but from my experience last year, this venue's worth the extra effort to get to. - -Heather - --- Jim Merullo wrote: > I just got a confirmation from the Me and Thee > yesterday. Hey folks, Having seen EFO at both the Me & Thee and the Lancaster show, I have to say, the Me & Thee has some of the best accoutics I've seen. That was my first EFO show, and by far the best to date(though all have been incredible). If it hasn't sold out already, it will soon, I'd wager. The Clinton one isn't really at the Lancaster Coffeehouse, as far as I can tell, it is at the Clinton Town Hall. The sound isn't too bad, but not as good as the Me & Thee. Also, it has a school lunch feel to it, so that's why I'm going to the Me & Thee show and the NH one, and skipping the town hall. Also, the NH show is likely already sold out, I called two days ago and the woman there said that there were just 20 tickets left, then. I'm very excited to see EFO again at a full show, the last one was at the New Bedford Festival, which was great....but a full show is that much better. I will also be bringing at least 3 EFO virgins, which is nice. Hi all, I'm going to the Santa Cruz show tomorrow, and unfortunately I have to attend by myself, as my boyfriend has other plans. I was wondering if anybody else on this list is going and would mind terribly if I could meet up with them at the show so I don't have to feel so alone. ;) I'm not too clingy ;) and I don't bite! E-mail me personally if you are also going "stag" or if you don't mind having somebody like me hang around. Thanks, Sarah ===== *** sarah with an h *** sarahrobeson at yahoo dot com NEW from Yahoo! My 9-year-old son attended the early show, and really enjoyed it. The only problem is, he's now fixated on 'Eddie's Concubine' and wants to listen to it all the time...when he asked me what a concubine was, I simply said 'girlfriend' - that's enough for now! But the real kick came the other night. I was singing 'Old Dominion' at the top of my lungs, and noticed that he was singing along with me. So I asked him about the song, if he knew what it meant. He said 'no'. So we then went through it, line by line, and I watched the little light bulb go off repeatedly over his head as it started to make sense. And the best part was when I said 'okay - 'she's the best of thirteen sisters' - what do you think that means?' and he screwed up his face in concentration, and then smiled beautifully, and exclaimed 'THE THIRTEEN COLONIES!!'. We then got out the atlas and looked up the towns mentioned in the lyrics, and I showed him a few Patsy Cline CD's from my collection. And today, from school, he brought home a library book about the southern U.S. - and he checked it out because it said 'Old Dominion' big as life heading the section on Virginia. I'm so proud of my Little Man! Suzie Tee ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V4 #235 *****************************
