Very beautifully put about the windows getting cracked, Gabrielle. On brighter news, according to the EFO e-mailer, Julie is pregnant again. I hope it's a girl. Her son already has the best name a boy could have. :) Oh and to the person who asked about the "Let's Get Mesolithic" t-shirt, I saw someone wearing one last night. It was kind of light blue with a purplish script (kind of Nieldsish in design). It's a nice shirt for those who like that song. - -Liam - ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Gabrielle Carroll" To: Ody Granados , ihave8en@excite.com, edheads@efohio.com Subject: Re: efo questions continue Date: Thu, 06 Sep 2001 21:11:29 -0400 thanks. i love the windows which get cracked when a singer/songwriter shares music. Hadn't seen them since the Wolf Trap, so it was nice to be right up next to the stage. It was the VT pep rally and although I don't consider EFO to be a peppy band, they did put on a pretty good show. It was also an outdoor show, so it was pretty cool. As I said, I saw the first 45 minute set, but missed the second on because of other engagements (Eddie gave me a hard time about that one). Set 1 - from memory Stupid American Gravity Best of Me Quick Hey Little Man Let's Get Mesolithic Three Fine Daughters One hmmm...I think I'm missing a song or two in there somewhere. Had some great banter in there as well. Before going into Hey Little Man, Robbie talked about having to slow it down a little, 'cause it was just getting too rowdy out there. "See the orange tape around teh stage, that's to help break up the folk mosh pit. We all remember the folk riots of '72. It was a catastrophe...I had hair! That's why they built that memorial down there." I'm assuming he meant our War Memorial. When the Hokie Bird showed up, MIke yelled, "Virginia Tech is giving us the bird!" He said some other stuff about aging, and doing so gracefully - after he had been approached by his prom date's younger sister and her 12 kids in tow. He said he felt old now. They talked about Hokie and JMU football and how the three guys' alma mater was always happy to help pad VT's stats. "72-0? we can do that! We will be your goose egg anytime! Come lay us!!!" And yes...Julie is pregnant. Right before going on stage, she was talking to someone about getting "knocked up." Oh well, I took a ton of pics, so when I get them developed, I'll scan them in. swb ===== steven nero7997@yahoo.com http://filebox.vt.edu/users/stblack2/ http://verticalhorizonfaq.tripod.com/ Get email alerts & NEW webcam video instant messaging with Yahoo! Just tried to order a pair of tickets for EFO at the Warner... But good lord, $74.50 for a pair of tickets?! **$14.50 of which is a service charge?** Surely there HAS to be a way to get tickets without using TicketBastard--I could barely justify $60 for two tickets, but can't do $75 on my grad student budget. Ah, I remember the good old days when we could complain about a $2 per ticket service charge from TM... Anyone know if tickets are for sale at the actual venue yet? i.e. at face value?
