Can you imagine the psychological trauma done to poor Liam?! Julie standing next to his crib, lights out, holding him in her arms, quietly singing to him, he's almost asleep, suddenly mikeeddierobbie stick their heads in the room and shout "May you know!" followed by "The joy!" I know I'd be screaming. - -T ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Jul 2001 11:25:20 -0400 From: carl.simmons@martindale.com Subject: RE: Just a quick review. Uhhh... "fishbowel"?.... what exactly are you trying to SAY about that truly wonderful CD, there, Robert? :-) Carl Simmons wouldn't want no Fishbowl negativity cropping up here, after all - -----Original Message----- From: Robert Bettencourt [SMTP:rob_bett@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday, July 19, 2001 11:01 AM To: edheads@efohio.com Subject: Just a quick review. I agree with Suzie and Jeff. I think that Quick is wonderful!!!!! I do believe that it is as strong an album as Looking Out the Fishbowel. It is different then fishbowel though. I think fishbowel lets us see the serious, sincere and more intimate side of the band. I think that the album really shows off the talent of Robbie and Mike as songwriters. Quick is a more playful, I bet they had a lot of fun making it. It is the more laid back. We see the band's playful fun side. I love "Little Man" I can't understand why anyone would think it is corny, it is such a great lullaby. I can picture Julie rocking Liam and singing the song, with the guys poping thier heads in through the door at the chorus. All of the tracks are great. Unfortunatly I have so much fun listening to the cd and for me it ends to quickly. When I hear "Great Day", it makes me wish that thier is bonus track afterwards. Of course this is just my opinion. I could be wrong. Rob Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo! Opinions are never wrong; I described the lyrics of "Hey Little Man" as a bit cheesy in my review of Quick. Cheesy does not equal bad. I also mentioned that many folk musicians have written songs to their children that have cheesy lyrics. I think there might be something so over powering about having a child and watching him/her grow, that it's difficult to express in words. So these songs often end up a bit cheesy. But heck, they're lullabies, they're supposed to be cheesy. - -Liam (but don't call me "Little Man") On Thu, 19 Jul 2001 08:01:17 -0700 (PDT), Robert Bettencourt wrote: I agree with Suzie and Jeff.
