Oh yeah! That show is actually not too far away from me, so you KNOW I will be there. I have never seen Arrogant Worms, but I have heard one song from them, "The Last Saskatchawan Pirate" (RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!). If the rest of their stuff is even half of that song, I will fall in love with yet another band. - ----- Original Message ----- From: Nicole Carlson Cc: Sent: Friday, July 13, 2001 1:55 AM Subject: Re: I got it! > On Thu, 12 Jul 2001, Buddy Brannan wrote: > > Buddy Brannan, KB5ELV | History is made by stupid people. > > Email: davros@ycardz.com | Clever people wouldn't even try. > > Phone: (972) 276-6360 | If you want a place in the history books > > ICQ: 36621210 | Then do something dumb before you die. > > On a completely unrelated note, inspired by your quote, Buddy; I note in > the Ohioan that there's an EFO/Arrogant Worms double bill planned for this > November. I live right outside of Richmond, VA and I got mine today. Needless to say, the CD is GREAT!!!!!! I have seen EFO three times this year, so I had already heard several of the new songs before my CD came today. I saw them in Williamsburg, VA in February, Northampton, MA in April and Richmond, VA in June. QUICK is on my CD player now and I'll probably wear it out listening to it so much. My daughter introduced me to this awesome band in the summer of 1999 and I have seen them in concert 7 times. I'll never get tired of their music. It only gets better! Hope all of you get your QUICK soon. You'll love it! Elizabeth ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Jul 2001 14:38:10 -0700 (PDT) From: Nicole Carlson Subject: Re: I got it! I was, at first (I'm a Linux/FreeBSD-using computer geek); but, y'know, the Microsoft line is more topical (read: dates faster, much like, say, Capitol Steps CDs do) and the new line fits in better, IMHO, with the rest of the song. >Wow, what a combo! The show was great (as always). They played some stuff off the new album which sounds good, but I will have to wait for the release next week. I was able to get "Juggler" for $10 (they are running a sale at the moment). I guess they felt really bad about not making it to RPI in March because they played Guilderland and they will play Troy (less than 20 miles away) in September. This after not coming to this area AT ALL last year. Still grinning from the glow of the show... I wrote up a list of what to bring, that turned out somewhat longer than I expected when I started the reply :) After writing it up and posting to nields-nook, I got a lot of feedback, posted to some other lists, repeated the following year... After updating and reposting the text three years in a row, I made it into a web site in the spring of 2000: http://cos.polyamory.org/frfflist.html This message is being posted to: nields nook, alt.music.moxy-fruvous, edheads, dar list, ecto, suspects, falcon-ridge If you know of any other mailing lists that this posting would be appropriate for, let me know.
