But the rain did stop in time for a great EFO set Friday night on Brown's Island. My first time hearing Quick and the CCR cover "Down on the Corner." From the opener "This My Town" to the final encore "Great Day" the band put a huge smile on my face. The new CD is still slated for 7/17 release and I couldn't convince them to give me an advance one. :-) I did find out that the EFO will be HEADLINING Saturday night at Falcon Ridge!! How's this for a evening of music: The Nields Dar Williams Eddie From Ohio The band will also be participating in the Sunday Gospel sing which should be fun after a late Sat. night set. don "I say 'Screw what they think, I'll be true to myself' " -- Regan Don Semmens; Richmond, VA; donsem@concentric.net Visit my Regan Site http://www.concentric.net/~donsem/regan.htm Rob Buck Memorial Scholarship Fund http://gottabuck.org/ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Jun 2001 13:19:22 -0400 From: "RB Mays" Subject: Fw: Stormy Weather - Richmond VA 6/15/01 - ----- Original Message ----- From: RB Mays To: Don Semmens Sent: Sunday, June 17, 2001 1:17 PM Subject: Re: Stormy Weather - Richmond VA 6/15/01 > Lots of friends of the band in the crowd. The ONE Friday Cheers I alway look forward to and never miss is EFO. Last years show was just fantastic. However, this year it also coincided with tickets to see U2 at the MCI center in DC. I was totally excited about seeing U2 (which was incredible) but, (all Edheads can understand this) I was SOOOO bummed about missing Friday Cheers especially since they don't get down to Richmond as much as they used to. Hopefully I'm going to try to catch the show in Wintergreen on the 4th of July. Can't wait for the new CD!!!
