Single tickets are still around, too. I got a darned decent seat only yesterday [1]; if not front-and-center, then at least frontish-and-centerish. (Row K, seat 11: I just hope that's not shorthand for "Row 1000, seat 11"...) But dang, 7000 seats is a freaking LOT of seats! Aside from Falcon Ridge, the biggest EFO concerts I've been to have drawn maybe 300-400 people. This will be an interesting contrast. Is it July yet? - --nicole twn p.s. It was a great show, but there were some definitly downsides to the big venue. NUmber one, they were sharing the billing (as they are now) and I found that the Pat McGee fans, while wonderful people, were not exactly quiet when EFO was playing. It wasn't like they were inturrupting the songs, but they weren't sitting with fixed attention as I was. That was a little distracting. But then again I was on the lawn (GO CHEAP SEATS!!) so maybe that had some effect. But this time I know all three bands and I can't wait. I just hope that all the fans watch all the bands. Thats all. Are any of the Va/Md area edheads going to board tape at the Filene Center show in July? and can you even do it...this might possibly be the best candidate for a board taping of any planned show so far this year *album release/10th annivesary show* If anyone winds up doing this, I'd be willing to burn a few copies for members on the list that don't have the chance to see this great show...which is most of us! The Filene Center is pretty anal when it comes to taping. Pat McGee Band had a big show last July and I remember it being a pain trying to get everything set up. I don't think anyone got to actually tape it, and the one that is floating around is the one that the band themselves taped. I may have gotten some of the little details wrong, but I remember it being very hectic, trying to figure everything out. swb - --- Thomas Ehrhardt wrote: > Are any of the Va/Md area edheads going to board > tape at the Filene Center > show in July? and can you even do it...this might > possibly be the best > candidate for a board taping of any planned show so > far this year *album > release/10th annivesary show* If anyone winds up > doing this, I'd be willing > to burn a few copies for members on the list that > don't have the chance to > see this great show...which is most of us! Thanks to e:'s manager, I was able to get my rig in, but even e:'s engineer Ryan Nichols couldn't tape from the board feed with his own deck w/o signing a waiver that they'd not use it for commercial purposes and couldn't redistribute it in any way [ ie, sourcing it to fans ]. Cowboy Mouth allows taping, but no board feeds... thus, I ran mic's, but got hassled by security people at every checkpoint wanting to know what I was doing. if you want to tape, be prepared with mic's, as it may be REALLY hard for Bob to do anything about their policy. namaste, will "To strive, to seek, to find; and not to yield" - Tennyson Will Foy willfoy@pobox.com will.home http://birksncap.csoft.net JumpLittleChildrenNilLaraAngieAparoEdwinMcCainBenHarper/ \ GibbDrollEddieFromOhioEverythingAgentsOfGoodRootsRush |e:| TimReynoldsMMWFlecktonesDMBVerticalHorizonBluesTraveler\__/ ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V4 #67 ****************************
