Before the first show started, I ran down to the box office and bought, with cold hard cash, 4 tickets to an upcoming Christine Lavin show and one ticket for Darrell Scott/Tim O'Brien on May 3. Put them in my wallet with my remaining 9:30 EFO ticket. Today, April 1, I have discovered that when I re-entered the Ark for the 9:30 show, I gave the woman my Darrell Scott/Tim O-Brien ticket, cuz I have a completely intact EFO ticket still in my wallet and no Darrell ticket. Sigh. Oh - and I meant to include in my long, tedious write-up, that for the second show they got the entry right - the first show the lights were up, they walked out, we clapped, then somebody off stage said via the sound system 'please welcome Eddie from Ohio'. For the second show they walked out onto a DARKENED stage, they did the offstage announced intro, and THEN the lights came up and there was wild raucous applause. Now if I can only get somebody at the Ark to listen to my tale of woe, I'll be all set. I'll be calling them tonight. Anybody out there got any Ark-clout? Do JulieMikeEddieRobbie read this list? Julie, I was the blonde in the gray sweater right in front of you writing everything down....in case you want to vouch for me being one of the folks without a life attending both shows, and get Dave Siglund (sp?) to believe my story - surely he'd remember selling a Darrell Scott ticket on an all-EFO night, cuz he did, and I even chatted with him a bit and he asked my name and everything ..... If you are only looking for a single ticket, there are still some available...and good ones at that. I just pulled up (at 6:30pm), row B in the front side front orchestra. So, keep looking on the site before giving up hope! Dawn Get email at your own domain with Yahoo! Hey Tom, Here's to EFO selling out the Filene Center very soon, and it sounds like they're doing a pretty good job working on it. At 7,000-seats, it will probably take at least a week though. I just checked, and there are pairs in rear orch, and loge (upstairs - good view vs. rear orch) plus lawn tickets. So keep trying if you're looking for tickets. If they continue to sell out some big gigs in Atlanta, I'm sure they'll have a promoter interested in offering them a bigger arena. Until then, I think they are doing pretty good the way they are managing things so I'll leave the choices to them. I, for one, will go to see them no matter where they play - whether it's the place I prefer or not! Here's to 10 more years, and growing. It should be said that there are still tons of tickets available, expecially if you actually drive to Wolf Trap and buy them. You have to go on a night when there is a show, of course, but it also allows you to avoid the charge that tickets.com tags on. We bought 13 today (craziness, huh?) and so far this is the hightlight of my summer. To everyone, keep trying, there are still more out there! And the lawn is more fun anyway, much more relaxed, and definitly great for the food and such. I was able to get a better seat by doing that. Yes tickets seem to still be available :) Ian ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V4 #65 ****************************
