The song may be called > "Hit or Miss" the album seems to be of the same title..the Band who knows? the band's name is A New Found Glory... that song has found its way onto several skunk (ska/punk) compilations in recent years and would be a prime candidate for material on MTV2. You can check out their website at: http://www.newfoundglory.com/ where you can watch the video again and again if you'd like. They're either about to start or already on an east-coast tour so check em out if you get a chance! :P take it easy, jordan http://www.geocities.com/tmbgirl.geo/ http://www.judithedelman.com/ "24 more hours of music videos to see... running in perpetual rotation on tv" ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Mar 2001 18:29:43 -0800 (PST) From: Bob McNichols Subject: Re: Since it's getting tougher to board tape efo shows... - --- Thomas Ehrhardt wrote: > I'm hearing from others that recent Efo shows are > less likely to be recorded > :( This seems to be some new disappointing trend. Thomas, This is not a new disappointing trend. I have not noticed that it's getting tougher to board tape efo shows; and I operate the board. I also ask permission of each and every venue for fans to record. Some venue's say NO but most say YES. There is some truth to your statement that recent efo shows are less likely to be recorded. That is because no fan with taping apparatus shows up to record the show. I always welcome all shapes and sizes of tapers. In my 7 1/2 years of seeing this band, I do not recall a single show where you came early and asked for a board patch. Forgive me if I am wrong. There are soo many tapers and only one of me. > I'm hearing from others that recent Efo shows are > less likely to be recorded Please pass on to the others that your hearing from, that they are incorrect. I'm sorry for any misunderstandings...my comments were based on the 30+ people that asked for the recent Atlanta shows...I have heard from regular board-tapers that they weren't able to record recent shows...Since I had heard that from others & witnessed venue security problems as recent as 12/00. I wondered out-loud if it was becoming a trend. I'm glad it's not! I have recorded many local bands that I represent. I don't usually record efo shows because I much prefer to spectate! + the folks on this list have shows from other places that are of more interest. I do care a great deal for the band.
