The piano was a very nice touch. I brought an EFO virgin who considered herself enjoyably deflowered when the evening was through. I remember the dedication for your anniversary, that was funny! The two young birthday ones were as well. Especially Robbie encouraging us to cuss more ;-) I'd also LOVE to get a CD copy (they said no recording devices of any kind) just for the encore songs and the "new song they were hoping to get a live version recorded for the new CD" the name of which is sitting in a part of my brain I do not have access to yet this morning. I thought that was the best one all night - and of course, the audience made it ;-) They did such a good job on their religious stuff I didn't even mind it that much. Oh My Brother was fabulous. If there are 4 people more vocally in-tune with each other, I haven't found them. Liam is one big, teething kid, who is obviously adored by both of his parents. He was very displeased when dad ruined his efo bumper sticker teething toy, but seemed elated at the drumstick replacement ;-) I hate to create competition for myself getting good tickets for the 7/27 show, but even if Eddie From Ohio wasn't there, you'd still want to go to see Fighting Gravity. Another great local band. I haven't seen them live yet, but friends have. Now, the decision of whether to sit close and see better, or party on the lawn ....... hmmm decisions, decisions. - -----Original Message----- From: McCauslands I'm a long-time lurker and occasional poster, and just felt like I had to let y'all know what a completely stunning performance EFO gave at the Barns of Wolf Trap on March 6. Judging by what they told me later, a lot of that had to do with Jon Carroll sitting in on piano. The encores absolutely rocked It was an incredible evening, one I won't soon forget. I can hardly wait for the new CD, which they said is due out July 16 (and Jon Carroll apparently plays extensively on it). They're doing a CD release show at Wolf Trap on July 27, with Fighting Gravity and Great Big Sea, who will apparently join them for "Tom Burley's Dead" if not other songs - should be awesome. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2001 09:58:26 -0400 From: Don Semmens Subject: Mike Clem sighting Eddie From Ohio bass player and trombone virtuoso Mike Clem was spotted last night dressed in a large pink wig and pink feather boa playing the tambourine.
