I emailed Belair the first week of February when I first saw cruise info mentioned. They indicated that they would mail me a packet and that the efohio and fanclubcruises websites would have more info when the details were established. Since none of the above has happened, I have to assume that the details have yet to be established. Stuart - -----Original Message----- From: Jason D. Several days ago, I sent an E-Mail to the addres on the EFO website for more info on "Edheads II" coming up in May, 2002. So far, I have not received a response. Has anyone else gotten any info on the cruise? If so, I'd appreciate any information you have. This is probably the *only* way we'll see EFO here in Florida! Does anyone have a list of the songs they played? BTW: The balcony was not make shift, it was the real deal. The Lyric Theater is an old fashioned theater complete with the segregation balcony. My children (7 and 9 yo) and I sat up in the balcony and the sound was wonderful. My daughter especially loved the "old farts" banter. Next stop for us --> Nags Head!! Anyway, they opened with Stupid American and Gravity and closed with (an impromptu acapella version of) CCR's Down on the Corner and Blues Traveler's But Anyway. In between they played a whole bunch of other songs. The played a lot of new stuff, Best of Me, Let's get Mesolithic, Hey, Little Guy, Tom Burley's Dead, 1000 Saras, and 20,000 Hearts. Today was the first day of spring break for VT, and EFO didn't find out about it until about a week ago. They were pleasantly surprised that the venue was almost sold out. They remarked that here in Blacksburg, all the cool people stay... of course there was the great banter among the EFO folk ensemble, like talking to "Abe" in the make shift balcony. It's not as funny if I type it out, so I'll spare you. We were hoping for the Train Song, so the Hokie faithful could yell "Cookin'" as during "This ain't no countreeeeee..." Other songs I wanted to hear, but didn't - The new James Bond, Monotony, This My Town, Bookends, Oh My Brother, and others. Well, you can only fit so many songs in a 3 hour slot. Yeah, Eddie did his drum solo where he works his way from the bongos>congas>djembe>drum set. I don't think what he does is fair...I play the set and a friend of mine plays the congas/bongos. It was amazing the first time I saw it, and was just as amazing this time. He of course got the standing ovation for it. They closed with a nice cover of But Anyway with a long harmonica solo by Mike. On the final note, Eddie literally smashed his sticks (well, his pro-mark rods...they are made up of dowels tied together). They were sent flying into the audience. No better way to cap off a show! OK, I'm tired and I need to pack...South Carolina, here I come!!! swb ===== steven nero7997@yahoo.com http://filebox.vt.edu/users/stblack2/ http://verticalhorizonfaq.tripod.com/ Get email at your own domain with Yahoo!
