Well, this wasn't my first AAFF, but it was my first EFO show, short though it was. All I'll add is that it was indeed worth the 7 hour drive, some of it through blowing snow with 21 stranded cars by the highway, to see these folks! I was standing around with my friend at the end of the show, when they came out. I was not expecting to see them, so I was thrilled! They signed my CD, I got to see Liam (how can he possibly be almost a year old?!) and encouraged them all to come up to Toronto area. They said they'd played in Montreal once a long time ago. Mike said he'd post the photos to the website from the end of the show, singing with Peter Yarrow and the other performers, as soon as he could. They were great, but I don't think I can finagle the March 31 date... but I'm working on it! Last night, I drove up to Peterborough, Ontario, to see Dar Williams. Jian Ghomeshi, from Moxy Fruvous, opened. He did about 5 songs, then Dar played for about an hour and a half, with Jian joining her for 3 or 4 songs. Dar was FABULOUS! Jian's planning to release a CD later this year, but he did not give any indication that MF was done for good. I got the impression they are taking a year off, except for the Feb 17 show. Dunno; neither Dar nor Jian had product, and neither came out after the show for me to ask! Cheers, Vicki > > This was my first ever visit to the A2FF, and it was quite an experience.
