I got a chance to see EFO 1/13/01 at the Lancaster Coffee house in Massachussetts. This was my 3rd EFO show and the best so far. They played for close to 3 hrs and included a handfull of songs that will be on the new release this summer. I can't wait till this one comes out, because the songs they played for us were great. Robbie can turn any topic into a beautiful song, and Julie wrote a real sweet one for her new son. There were a lot of people there that had never seen the band before, and I think it is safe to say that a few more Ed-Heads were created that night. That is all. EFO was recommended by a number of people on the Moxy Fruvous list so I ordered "Fishbowl" about 2 months ago. I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. So a few weeks ago I ordered "Portable" and "Big Noise" - they both arrived a week ago. I immediately fell in love with "Portable EFO Show". "Big Noise" hasn't struck me nearly as much as "Fishbowl" did, however. So what does everyone else think? What are your favorite EFO CDs? What should be my next purchase from the EFO catalog? But my favorite is still Fishbowl; that may be because it was my first CD. But I can't tell you how excited I am for the next release! This summer can't come soon enough! Welcome aboard Chris! be sure to stow your spelling mistakes & remember julie's name has an "e"! you'll do fine :) My suggestions for your next cd: "Irodefidohome" my brothers fave! it's got oh my brother, the bridge, Hail mary shy of redemption etc. also a big kudos to "actually not" for it's twangy version of 3 fine daughters. I'm not a big fan of Bignoise or a juggler & his blades for that matter so you may skip these sorry MIKE!... Julie's solo Jazz "sophisticated lady" my dad's fave! is really great too. signed an infamous poster. But I enjoy hearing about the band and what they are up to. But, I am leaving the country for a few months and will only be able to check my mail infrequently. So I hate to say this because this always leads to some wierd mass exodus. But, I need to know how to unsubscribe. I'll be back in a few months but really can't afford to sift through all this material from internet cafe's over seas. If any one knows how to do this that would rock. Hopefully this won't start another mass departure. Sorry for the inconvenience. "Irodefidohome", then "Juggler"...or maybe the other way round. Doesn't matter much, I don't suppose, except that you have them all. :) Actually, I agree with you--if I *had* to pick a least favorite EFO album, it'd be "Big Noise". Just never grew on me--but there *are* some excellent songs on there. The album as a whole though...just never struck me, either. Still, get them all, but get "Actually Not" next. - -- Buddy Brannan, KB5ELV | And if the ground yawned, Email: davros@ycardz.com | I'd step to the side and say, Phone: (972) 276-6360 | "Hey ground! Tom, I think you're a little confused, my friend. "Hale Mary" is on "Juggler" not "Fido". Although I think you're right about the rest. ...Or is "The Bridge" on "Big Noise"? (Nah, I don't *think* it is.....but "Hale Mary" is *definitely* on "Juggler". I still remember it as being one of the first EFO songs I ever heard when I walked up on them at UT that one day a long time ago......was disappointed itwasn't on "Actually Not", but the other 20 that *were* made up for it....hehe) - -- Buddy Brannan, KB5ELV | And if the ground yawned, Email: davros@ycardz.com | I'd step to the side and say, Phone: (972) 276-6360 | "Hey ground! You'll end up buying them all anyway. :) I'd get the rest of the albums in this order: 1) Actually Not; 2) I Rode Fido Home; 3) A Juggler On His Blades. Fruvous newsgroup... is it still under the control of teenaged girls with crushes on Jian? I was quite the regular there until the discourse got a little too squealy for me.
