Tickets probably will sell out...the last couple times I've been there the place has been completely packed, although that's not saying much, since it's tiny. The place has character, though. A friend of mine taped there, so I assume they allow it, but I wouldn't know about the technical details. > too large and not too small. Does EFO ever play there? In other news, I have the worst timing in the world. EFO and DVN played in Ann Arbor about a month ago. EFO's playing 3 or 4 shows within range of where I am right now in a week or two. Guess when I'm moving to Ann Arbor? In two days. Argh. Oh well...at least I get to catch the Nields probe an extra time. Perhaps I'm better known as the Pabst Man from the cruise. Regardless, I've just recently subscribed and was curious to know who among you plans to trek to the Trocadero on the 11th of November for the gala evening of music destined to unfold? As an aside, my band just took some publicity shots earlier this month, and our favorite one so far is entitled "Who Let the Goats Out?" If anyone's interested, you can view it either by requesting it from me or visiting http://www.egroups.com/subscribe/halfway and checking the files section. See you soon at a show; I'll be the one with the Pabst logo tattooed on my forehead. - --Stof ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Oct 2000 15:38:10 -0700 From: "Ron Rosen" Subject: Re: I wish they all could be California... Hey Seth. I will be at both McCabes shows. Get there a half hour early and wait in front and you will get a better seat. Order your tickets by phone. They bring them out to you while you're standing in line. Parking in the neighborhood can be a bit tricky because they recently closed several streets to non-residents. There are no really bad seats, because it's a small room. It's a guitar showroom by day, and a concert room by night. They sell all kinds of music books etc. in the front room which you can check out between shows if you're staying for both. You can call McCabes and ask about taping. Go to www.McCabes.com to get their number and policies. I'm going to several McCabes shows in the next few weeks: Lucy Kaplansky, EFO (2), Tish Hinojosa, Ellis Paul, Cheryl Wheeler. Tell me what you look like and what you might be wearing and we can say hello. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Seth Hornstein" To: Sent: Tuesday, October 24, 2000 12:19 PM Subject: I wish they all could be California... > ...shows! > Look at this, EFO comes to California and all of a sudden all of us > west-coasters start getting excited and discussing technicalities on the > listserv.
