With the Edhead cruise coming-up *which I must admit hardly anyone who regularly post's to this site has time to attend..wouldn't it be nice to have an EFO folk event that will maybe take a weekend and not a whole vacation! since there music talks about trains, va, mountains etc. Here's my idea...we can call it the "old Dominion" rail excursion... I stumbled across a brochure from Bryson Tennesee about an old Steam engine train that travels through the great Smoky mountains...Wouldn't it be an awesome event to be on that train or any train! w/ efo doing what they do best...playing folk music the old fashioned way just acoustic! rent out the whole darn thing...for a Friday departure and sunday return...Folks in VA, Ga, TN, NC, SC could easily get there and let's do it in the fall when the leaves change...stops at a B&B on a Saturday night some small town strolling around...Just a thought....most of us can drive to the departure site. I think it would be great...especially for us cash strapped 30 somethings who can't fathom the love boat! Anyone else with ideas/suggestions on this subject? *Btw my painting of "the three fine daughters of farmer brown" has been posted for viewing at www.artcanyon.com look under Ehrhardt Thomas under search or just type in paintings, folk and bring up about 31 awesome paintings from other great SE artists...all are really fine examples and affordable for those so inclined... Thanks, TomE ------------------------------ End of edheads-digest V3 #125 *****************************
