I've asked before, but it's been a while... Does anyone know if there are any plans for EFO to make a stop in Florida (not just pass through to get aboard the cruise ship)?? Haven't seen a live show since I left Virginia nearly 4 years ago! Lemme tell ya--4 years without seeing a live show isn't just a long time...it's inhuman! Man (er--EFO fan) cannot live on CDs alone. It takes a well-balanced diet of great CDs and even better live shows! While a stop in Tampa or Orlando would be really nice, I'd go anywhere from Gainesville to Fort Myers to see another show! Any good news would be greatly appreciated. After a recent move I have uncovered an extra copy of the final Bad Habits show on 4 CDs. If anyone has another show to trade for it, let me know. - -Gary __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Jason >> I'm not sure, but I just heard that EFO is playing at the State Theater New Years Eve for $65, which TOTALLY beats the $150 I had to pay last year for the Birchmere! Who's gonna go with me?? Jason, maybe you should come back to VA, lol.. It's where all the action is! Otherwise- I hope you get to see them again soon! Marie ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 Sep 2000 10:07:07 -0400 From: Thomas Ehrhardt Subject: Do you wan't to see EFO on PBS? Well..here it is Edheads my promised post...concerning a possible/likely TV taping of our favorite band...First let me tell you a lil' about what the show is: The Show is called "homegrown" it is/was taped in Columbia, SC at the studios of SCETV. The last time the show was aired November 1999: Jump Little Children, Cravin Melon & Danielle Howle & the tantrums were featured. Darius Rucker of Hootie & the Blowfish was the interview segment host. The focus of the show is unsigned/independant music acts in the SE. This show so far has only aired in SC. Plans are for this concept to be launched in the SE and offered to Pbs affiliates across the country. EFO is on a very short list for inclusion on the next taping! Their segment would be 45 minutes w/ 10 of it interview. *very similar to Sessions on West 54th. What we need from EDheads? a little boost for the show...if anyone out there knows program directors for PBS affiliates in the following States: Ga, Fla, Va, NC, Al, TN, IL, NY etc. let them know about the show and EFO's possible appearance! We'd like at least 7 commitments to air the show before we can tape it...we are awaiting word on that alone to schedule a date... so get your pens, e-mails going folks..I'd really love to see this happen especially for everyone that will miss a live performance due to were they live... The 350+ available tickets for the taping will be offered to members of this list and eventually over the efohio web site. There will be one rehearsal in the afternoon and a live taping that night.... food included! all free! Have them contact Tom Clark Executive Producer of the Show @ 803-737-3311 Address: SCetv Homegrown, P.o. Box 11000, Columbia, SC 29211 also a good contact is Kitty Manges Program Director for SCetv e-mail-Kmanges@SCETV.org It also can't hurt to give encouraging words to these fine folks to keep up their spirits on getting this done...Sorry to be so long-winded in this e-mail! if you have further questions contact me direct or feel free to post your opinions here... Thanks, TomE *side note Dick Hodgin Producer of Cravin Melon, Hottie & the Blowfish & Flat Duo Jets will be running the sound board for the shows taping. *about "robbie being all business" most of the time I've spoken to him it has been about the industry and touring...so I alas have not seen the fun side...anybody that buys a yellow bowling shirt from vintage clothing store "junkman's daughter" in 5-points has got to be fun! & Eddie "being happy to be there" what I meant was that he seems like a guy that really enjoys what he does...and it shows...I still like the nickname "the Unidrummer" for him! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 Sep 2000 19:40:33 -0700 (PDT) From: Ella Anne Subject: Re: Fwd: EFO: Hittin' the Road - --- ACGM7@aol.com wrote: > Ok, here goes.. > > Davidson College, Davidson NC x 2 (my school > '94-'98) > Guilford College, NC > Ziggy's, Winston Salem NC x 5 > Amos', Charlotte NC > Music Factory, Charlotte NC > Bottom Line, NY NY > The Fez, NY NY > A little church in Montclair NJ '97 > Ice Cream Festival, Wilmington DE > Philly Folk Fest '00 > State College PA > So you saw EFO at the Philly Folk Fest, how was it?? had you ever seen them in a festival setting before, I mean were they accesible? wasn't that a two day fest? which day did they play?? and what other bands played that day with EFO?? geez, didn't realize that NJ was 2.5 hours away from there, that's quite a ride, I don't live too far from PA and I didn't make it, and when were they at State College, what venue?
